The Cree (a number of them) got actually quite upset that their tribes were abused for the game. Their culture is against exploitation, extraction, expansion and anything with "ex" in it. As for the name, it is not that difficult. Just don't go bananas and slowly syllable after syllable pronounce it, every time a bit faster. Like in the first grade and then... bum, you speak Cree (almost).

A recent tip that I noticed in my games that has changed since the game first released is that if I place a district on top of a Bonus Resource, I'm still able to use a Builder to "chop" that Bonus Resource, even after the district is built.

I just verified it now (just to be sure) by running the game without any mods other than official content. It does work, but only with districts. If you place a Wonder on a Bonus Resource, it gets removed entirely.

Why Rome and Maori are my favorite civs: they’re so simple, fun, easy, and chill to play it’s epic
@condotiero8604 жыл бұрын
Why Rome... MAXIMUS DECIMUS MERIDIUS, COMMANDER OF THE FELIX LEGIONS, LOYAL TO MARCUS AURELIUS THE TRUE EMPEROR OF ROME. HUSBAND TO A MURDERED WIFE, FATHER TO A MURDERED SON. And I will get my revenge...in this game or the next.
Appreciating the zooms here and there. It's a little rough around the edges, as evidenced by jumpscare-manitore last episode, and at 24:51, but overall its very welcome in my eyes

I'm only just now coming back to Civ after taking a break since a few months before the new frontier pass (thanks 2020), and have been knocking off the rust and learning the new quirks with a nice chill prince-level Rome game, as they're a strong all-around civ with reasonably intuitive bonuses. Glad to find this series, as playing along with it is helping me get back into the habit of thinking through the steps, planning ahead, etc. Thanks for always making a note of important first principles for casual players like me, review always helps!

I approve of the legions chopping the lands of Rome. They all deserve farms to retire upon for their service. Great Video. When you talked about working districts I believe your undervaluing the benefits of the working districts and buildings. The campus specifically should always be worked to capacity even if it stunts city development.

Tried several times with Rome, often fail to build initial momentum. Two things that I remembered quite well: 1. swept by barbarian lol, 2. army died because my neighbor was Aztec (or other military dominant civ) also I got attacked by its suzerain. Rome is only good if the neighbor is civ with non-domination agenda, just to build initial momentum to get enough legion and crossbowman to expand. Once you fail to build this momentum, it would be too difficult to push in the mid-game.

Can you do a video about the different maps explaining their layout and recommendations for civics on each one (like a map that is better for a civ like Canada or Russia, or other maps that are better for more naval base civics)
@ForeverDayGreen4 жыл бұрын
Hey Potato great video. 3 Questions: 1. Don't specialists also give Great Ppl points? Or was that only civ 5 2. Would you say its worth to remove bonus resources (like the cattle in Rome) to make room for more farm triangles? 3. Are Trade Routes updated when you finish a district? I.E. when you finish the industrial zone in rome will all routes instantly gain +1 production or do you have to wait till you can resend them. Is normal speed harder to beat, cuz they can pump out guys faster to swarm you?
