MY SAVINGS CHALLENGES FOR 2024 |

I prayed to make God the steward over my finances because for some reason I’m blowing over 1000$ a month on literally nothing.. now suddenly I’m seeing these budgeting videos, I’ve started an un breakable piggy bank and will be purchasing a budget binder, cashing out my paychecks and only depositing for bills and budgeting my spending. Glory be to God. Bondage is broken

It’s funny, because my journey started with a cry out to God as well. I remember that night as if it was yesterday. In my mind I heard him say why would I bless you with more if you haven’t been properly managing what I have already blessed you with. That hit me really hard. The moment I started being a better steward of what he has given me, new doors and more opportunities started coming to me. He is the Way-maker. He led me to Dave Ramsey, which led me down the rabbit hole that led me to the cash envelope system. My life has been forever changed for the better. I’m in a totally different place in life then I was years ago. Im now living in a season of answered prayers. Be blessed and encouraged. 😘

I have several saving challenges including 100 envelopes, monthly saving challenges, and 52-week saving challenges. Main focus is finishing up 100 envelopes. Working on paying payoff my debt, building up savings, and emergency funds. That’s is my goal for 2024.

My savings goals for 2024 will include emergency travel savings and a new vehicle. My aunt and uncles are getting up there in age and quite naturally my mom worries about her siblings especially since the majority live out of state. If we need to pick up and go out of town I don’t want funds to be an issue. Great video, I’m liking the new challenge binder! 🪙

Saving challenge goals for next year is to actually save for taxes. My husband is 1099 so we have to pull out for them. Fingers crossed we won't owe too much... I would also like to have our credit cards paid off by April at the latest.

Im really working in getting a month ahead on my bills and am starting with my mortgage payment. If I added in the building the bag challenge to that it would really help me get there. We are a big family on one income so we have a lot of expenses and its going to take awhile.

I agree. The 100 envelope challenge is definitely a lot more difficult to get through. You have to be very disciplined. That is exactly why I am making it my own little personal mission to get through this challenge in 2024. I've still got a lot of things going on that I need to save for and lots of debt to pay off so my savings challenges are small and still all over the place and unintentional at this point. Id like to be able to do the 100 envelope challenge but our income to debt ratio is still too high to be able to throw $100 in an envelope in 1 week.
