Maybe the monolith 09:56 is a one- way portal that takes you somewhere (for example the new update for the large worlds) but it take an immense amount of resources like power, water, oxygen or biomass or all at the same time. That way you could also use more tiles that have been submitted by people expanding the series even further. And you could use newer base designs by teleporting materials trough it renewing the look of your base. Which means even more community content. You could also decide that in to two seasons. Also for the material you extracted from the monolith you could use it for a dark matter drive. For spaceship engines or to power you base. You could combine the two ideas but that would mean you are creating infinite power (by generating the portal and also extracting it. Like if you agree, dislike if you don’t. Edit: Sugggestion by Lord Ceasar: have Kan and/or Kosmo build the world for scrap man so that he will actually get to explore it and discover the secrets of it. Edit: To elaborate on this idea, you should try teleporting resources trough it and plant life and as a series ending teleporting yourself trough leading to a cliffhanger. A fade to black screen or something wich then goes to the outro and some sick satellite footage with voiceover because we all know you are just making because you think is sounds cool. (it is cool tho so keep going ;).)

The series where scrap man builds historical vehicles has taught me like a lot I don't know It has taught me stuff about scientists/physicians and has also taught me the reasons why a certain thing can't work whether it's due to mass ,angular velocity,tork or anything I also now know how they change angular/circular motion into horizontal/vertical motion

For colorcoding of the base I suggest using green for plants and O2, yellow for energy, blue for quarters (and maybe storage, if there ever is one) and red for garage (exploring the red planet)

when i eventually decide to contribute to MCS, i'll make a building of the mars base that is a large room with a big ring in the middle that can open a portal via electricity and oxygen, however it can only be open for 10 minutes due to the way the cooling system works, which means when it overheats you have to shutoff the oxygen and electricity or otherwise within the next 30 seconds it will explode with the power of a 100 ton nuke/bomb, to make it like a tiny nuke or very large bomb i'll have to glitch weld like 25-75 large explosive canisters inside a large power generator in the corner of the room. depending on the amount of electricity (any amount of electricity except for 1kV and above) running into the ring, it will link to a different coordinate, for example if it's around 100 volts, it'll start pretty easily and will link to a set of coordinates around 10 deg to 15 deg in any direction from the point of origin, which will be the ring itself, however if it's further towards the 1kV overload limit like around 970 volts, it'll go further from the point of origin, e.g. 2000km in any direction from the point of origin, however i am not a coder and thus can't make it like that and the portal ring is basically just decorative with a bit of functionality put into it, also the amount of energy the ring explodes at also depends on the voltage and oxygen going in.

I think a really cool idea would be that when we encounter aliens/alien bases that they should be one of the species from the FMB. Those were the Arcturi (green), Devaryte (red), and Aenaery (purple) races. Possibly the Devarytes, as their colour is red like Mars.

Unpopular opinion. Trailmakers should have realistic tank guns and a variety of ammo. E.g hesh.apfsds. and the normal one. The bullet would actually penetrate and go through the armor if thin enough. It would also bounce if hit a certain angle. Just an idea

your mars base is solid but unless your gonna be attacked by hostiles your gonna need defensive countermeasures you need a *Combat Rover* to fend off attackers on the move and destroy hives, an *Armory* to prepare for the upcoming hostile attacks, *Explosive Turrets* to control a crowd, *AA Turrets* to deter flying hostiles and a *Hanger* to store and use aircraft to gain ground support and bomb key enemy infrastructures.

with the reflectivity as well as the smoothness, I would say the monolith is made of igneous rock, or more specifically, obsidian. Obsidian is a form of naturally occurring volcanic glass, which is strange, because it is estimated to have been over 4 billion years since Mars had experienced any form of volcanic activity. Obsidian, despite the common thought that is incredibly strong, is actually quite weak and prone to breaking down, especially since Mars often has acidic rain that lasts for months to even years at a time. And the only somewhat realistic way that this monolith could have formed, is if it was also composed of slate, which is known to break apart easily into smooth surfaces, on one occasion on Earth, a slate deposit had been mistaken for Atlantis, since it was located deep underwater, and had almost human like architecture. But if this is the case, the monolith would have broken up thousands and thousands of years ago. And chances are that with how smooth and clear that it is, it is made out of 100% obsidian, which even then would have been destroyed far before even humans existed, meaning this monolith is being maintained by an outside source. But then there is a possibility that is some new form of rock that is only formed on Mars, yet the chances of that is slim. I would suggest conducting several extractions of material from the monolith, as well as continued observation. Just in case there is someone or something maintaining it.

The wing you put the garage on should have research and storage, you can always replace hallways with other ones to expand it. It could branch off from the side of the main area straight to a 4 way connector that has storage to the right and research and labs to the left, and of course keep the garage in the middle. Also I think there should maybe be an extension to the right and/or left of the reactor with smaller generators as a backup source, maybe on one side is energy storage, like a bunch of giant batteries and on the other side could be a backup generator.
