*[Emergency Message from Command]* -[REDACTED], Head of Security and Defense Division There won't be any scientific insight by the idiot in charge of research here at the Organisation on this report, the efforts of our on-site researcher ( Researcher S.M ) have been met with a breach of safety protocols and a confirmation of my worries, this *must not be taken lightly.* The _Artifact_ (or XT-01 as per last report) is clearly an analysis and communication apparatus, might even be a simple quantum computer due to it's size and low recorded temperature as registered by the PMED on Mars Standard Cycle 14, but it _clearly_ exhibited behaviour that confirms that, whoever or whatever its creators are, have brought this equipment here for the same reason as we've established a Research Facility on Mars: they've received anomalous energy readings on this Martian Region and have sent probes to investigate on local artifacts like The Monolith, just like us, now not only we have to deal with an unpredictable, weird and potentially dangerous _thing_ like The Monolith, but we also have to deal with the creators of these machines who are also _clearly_ here to study alien artifacts unknown even to them; let's not forget we also have to deal with an alien device that's on the loose and currently mapping the surrounding area. This is a breach of security protocols of several magnitudes higher than our worst estimates, we were prepared for having to deal with XenFauna or even materials with physically illogical behaviour, hell, we were even prepared for interdimensional rifts after our relatively recent breakthrough with teleportation technology (or "Quantum-Based Matter Deconstruction and Relocation" technology as professor [REDACTED] would put it.), but not for intelligent aliens with the intent to study what we're already studying. Command initially dismissed me as paranoid and rejected my proposals as unnecessary, but we've spotted several alien structures and we have a scout vehicle looking for answers on the loose, we _have_ to expect contact with these beings and I don't want to be held responsible for losses of equipment and the life of our On-Site researcher for Command's negligence if these things turn out to be less friendly than us. I demand a security perimeter be established, a network of surveillance and communication satellites be stationed in low orbit (the old satellite is _still_ unresponsive.) And most importantly, defense systems be installed to protect Our operations and interests, this cannot be overlooked anymore. The best way to reduce lag currently is to delete ALL of the Warehouse Spotlights (The 1x2 ones) as there are hundreds that do nothing. Leave the minimum to see in hallways and none outside (excluding entrances) Delete all unimportant lights around the base or the next module will make the game unplayable.

I like how he lies in the beginning about no ducks being harmed in the testing of the teleporter but in the lab there is a pile of ducks in the corner that were definitely harmed by the teleporter unless being turned into a pile of glowpoop, getting three heads, or winding up inside a pipe is not being harmed.

I'm not apart of it or anything I'm a completle just run of the mill viewer but it's so nice to see the amzing content your makign and invloving people in the community with. with fantastic story telling and a tad of improve (scrapmechanic isn't the best for consistency) The music and teh editing are so good very much reminds me of some of the original days of minecraft youtube like stampy, where they just made ups stories and had fun. it warms my heart to see more of this stuff being created and having creators enjoy it (I hope you are enjoying it :))

You should probably do an air defense system incase the artifact or alien structure attacks you. There should be a first warning second warning and third warning First warning should fire at explosives flares not damaging the artifact but startling it to leave. Second Warning you shoot small bullet and missiles that deal minimal damage to feel that the artifact that it is threatened and should leave the area Third warning you should implement a system that I call Air Inter Quarantined Decimator or the A.I.Q.D system AIQD should have massive amounts of damage and could lead to the aliens defeat. And once you have attack expect a surprise attack so always have caution and warning system throughout the base and scout vehicle and drones and satellites and etc.

Maybe if you separate the base with one block gaps, it will improve the lag. Might break the immersion a little, but will be better for the longevity of the series. Plus, I'm sure you can figure out a explanation for it 😂

You could set up a separated "station" relatively far away from the base. It doesn't really effect the frame rate if it's far enough that the main base is unloaded. Also it would make a lot of sens to store/examine unknown and potetionally dangerous stuff far away from the homebase.

I would suggest a tracking device be attached to the alien artifact. Given that it is scanning the surface of Mars, it would seem that it isn't native to Mars, and it would be good to know where it returns to when it's done mapping.

It could possibly be here for the same reason we are- exploration. It might have come from another galaxy, and these beings who are in charge of it could be scanning for a place to make their base, back in the days when we sent out exploration vehicles such as Perseverance and Ingenuity. They both seem to be researching the planet, scanning it. as lasers travel at lightspeed, that would be the ideal method of communication with them, over at their home planet or even a hidden space station.

1:08 It doesn't adapt to the elements in the teleporter, so anything in there will be fused with what is teleported. However, that would create an unknown substance out of the atmosphere and change the things being teleported. To counteract this, there is a very strong vacuum being pulled, that is why you need the shield. If you were in that, first, you would explode from the vacuum boiling your blood, then you would be mutilated with the surrounding gases that were teleported too.

You should let it land then block off above it, wait and if it navigates around the blocks or removes them or anything else then you should keep testing and find a way to contain it, then look inside it to see what the tech is like and to get more information to maybe find out who or what made it.

Fire it with an ORBITAL CANNON! (a fleet of 4 more come from every corner and start attacking, whit a 5th one, (the mothercube) getting shot down by a spudgun after scanning it and realizing it is weak, and it drops a contained monolith shard with controlled quantum tear, allowing infinite power, refined teleportations, matter reconstruction, and matter creation, after realizing the matter creation and reconstruction, he proceeds to take apart the lift, and finds the same quantum tear as the one from the mothercude, and you realize, the company for mars inhabiting is holding back massive secrets.

You probably can try the same trick as you did in the futuristic military base, where you had segments separated by a block to reduce the lag. Sure that would technically make the base interior exposed to vacuum, but you can just ignore that bit.

'Nutha scouting vehicle would be good. Preferably speedier to reach greater distances. Also, you should get that satellite checked. Sudden frequency interference - in *my* experience - spells "expensive repairing needed". Don't forget medical quarters (either in science or crew wing).

The alien probe appears to be a scanning and communication device, it goes around the area scanning the ground and gathering data, heads back up into the sky to scan for its network and/or detect radiation to check for interesting locations

Possible Theories for [Alien Drone] Theory - 1} It is currently scanning for an origin point; a location that relates to its original construction. It had gotten stuck when attempting a scan, and over time the Mars environment buried it under the surface. This could possibly mean that this tech is close to several million years old, possibly even billions. Theory - 2} It is an ancient terraformer, built by aliens to make Mars' surface habitable. This would explain as to why the area surrounding it is lush and full of life. By removing the construct, the lush environment will probably start to wither over time, as that was most likely the only reason such an ecosystem could thrive on Mars. Theory - 3} The artifact was sent from somewhere else to search for a powerful energy source. This explains why the location it was found had a radioactive core in the rooms center. The drone possibly found this ancient artifact and began to study it, placing itself underneath it. But before it could report back to base, it was buried, blocking any signals being sent from or to the drone. Frame rates can be saved by deleting all the interior doors. All those bearings are not needed. You're already inside the space station you don't need those extra doors. From watching you play scrap mechanic bearing seem to be the biggest lag issue.

I have a theory. The antenna thing could be a vault and the alien machine could be scanning and sending signals to the vault telling whatever is in there if the planet is habitable. Maybe whatever is in the vault used to be part of a bigger species that caused their own extinction in which destroyed the planet and maybe some of the species survived. Anyway that's just my theory.

Hi Scrapman or Scrap Mechanist. Just wondering, "Eru the engineer" and "Scrap Mechanics Lab" will you have a Lil co-op play with each other again? As in the videos like you have with most known Kan, moonbo, kosmo and more. Even tho it's being ages xD. If not able to I guess that's fine would be nostalgic tho xD Have some music play offs between you all in multiplayer Monday where you guys have to come up with music using the tot bot musical heads(singing optional) but music has to match a specific theme related with. Like pirates is to pirate, food is to food etc etc making sure that the music at least gives the vibe of that theme. Points based upon details(musically and physically), decor, melody, nature, vibes. Negative marking only by 1 if there're few notes off set. Build and compose 30-60 mins. If shorter time then the points are similar to what you would point mark it if it was 3 min build-time. 30-60 mins would have 5 times the points. Additional criteria up to you. Pretty fun watching and enjoying goofiness and all xD(positive manner) Entertaining.

[Incident evaluation log - 03 Codename: Green Escape] Incident summary: Casualties: 0 Injuries: 1 Property damage: Single (1) teleportation node, loss of the object of research Continuing the research of the anomalous cavern, it has been decided that the unknown device will be extracted out via the experimental short range teleportation technology. A receiving teleportation platform has been properly set up on the surface, without an isolation chamber, which later resulted in the loss of the teleported object. The researcher descended into the cavern via a jetpack approved for this mission, but due to inexperience with the device's unintuitive controls he injured one of his lower limbs, this injury was only minor and could be treated without withdrawing the researcher from the surface. The sending platform was set up within the aforementioned cave. During its construction the device which was supposed to be studied became active, the procedures did not anticipate this and thus the researcher continued as intended. One of the teleportation nodes was installed improperly and was left partially within the disassembly field, resulting in partial disintegration of the node and a malfunction in the initial attempt to teleport the to-be-studied object to the surface. Upon reaching the surface the alien device activated once again and subsequently took off. Now it is left loose on the surface and the options of its recapture are being considered. Additional security concerns: When a device does not work as intended the solution is not to try again until it works, this should be obvious and therefore a part of the research procedure, not excluded from it. The lack of an isolation chamber for both samples and objects has now resulted in two incidents, both of which led only to loss of our funds and a loss of the research objects. I must implore that this is properly addressed next time. The incident has shown the need for a medical facility, it should be installed asap to properly examine the researcher's injuries and annual check-up which is due two years as of the date of this incident. The SM mars drone used unsuccessfully in the previous mission should be used to monitor the alien device along with the newly installed observation tower, until the satellite is operational again or replaced.
