Amazing. This reminded me of recently watching a Mix With The Masters episode with the producer Illangelo, in the song intro he created a whole world out of a couple of single synth notes, using multiple instances of Timeless and Valhalla Delay. The song was Alone Again, by The Weeknd.

@DanWorrall
@DanWorrall 2 жыл бұрын
In the "old days" having a studio meant dropping serious money on hardware. There were no plugins. Computers did midi only. There were no KZbin tutorials either! You're living in a golden age for music production, IMO: with just free software you can have a setup that blows my first project studio out of the water. I'm expecting great things from your generation ;)

Wow thank you so much! I've been trying to do something similar in my POD GO but I didn't use the expression pedal, only switching which needed me to switch between 2 settings and tap dance on each chord change lol... and now I'm going to try this which seems so much more ergonomic and controlled! Awesome tip! :)

Such huge and lush sounds. Those chords are perfect for showing this effect off. I've done vol swells and octave shimmers but not delay swells. This effect sounds a little like Paulstretch. Very ambient and glassy time stretchy goodness. Great stuff as always.

Really nice! I’ve been messing with the frippatronics just volume pedal into delay with 100% feedback but you can’t control when the pad ends. What you can do that way though is play a lot of different notes up and down the neck and create a huge pad

ahhh love to see the old ValveFX. I picked one up I wouldn't be able to afford otherwise after working at a music store in high school... then in college I added ValveFX modules to the RPEdit software that had been done for the RP10/RP12, so I could make that "hard to program for guitarists" problem a bit easier. good times.

Ooh very nice. Some old Alesis reverbs (like the XT:c's) have a "Hold" button which made for some very gravelly and glitchy pads. The "cyclic" sound of the Timeless3 sound like a much more sophisticated, controllable version of that.

Very cool technique! This can be done on the analogue world with a delay pedal with expression pedal that can be set to control the feedback, like EHX Memory man/boy. I like to use it to freeze chords, like Dan does it here, or to create mayhem, setting the feedback over 100%.
