I used to have the same kind of hair and hair problems basically all my life! and I can tell you using the curly girl method for styling hair after it’s out of the shower is a game changer. I don’t necessarily use all the CGM product rules (I definitely use shampoo) but it’s the techniques you use for your hair at the very end and immediately after washing your hair that make all the difference to making your hair curly and nice not a puffy mess like mine used to be! Watch all the yt videos on curly girl routines and experiment for a long time. It takes a long time to figure out what works but I eventually did and never knew it was possible for my natural hair to look decent :)
@yauqootmasaud5284 жыл бұрын
That was literally me b4 today Use the curly girl method IT WORKS SO WELL istg I totally understand what ur talking about Basically make sure your shampoo doesn’t have any surfaces or drying alcohol Also try deep conditioning your hair Then afterwards just dry your hair with a cotton T-shirt only slightly so that it’s not dripping Then add coconut oil and Argan oil to your hair while it’s still REALLY wet Then add some leave in conditioner Then just keep your hair in the T-shirt (put the collar around your hairline and twist it and tuck it in the back near your neck) After about 15 mins take it out and let it air dry and it your hair all over will look like how the hair at the last layer looks rn Please try it bc it works soooo welllll I just did it today and and it works wondersss

This was one big XMondo ad, which is fair enough, it’s his product so why not. But it’s not available everywhere so it would be nice to see some other products that’s more available to more people too as an alternative. Could’ve done half of one side using xmondo and the other half using another product.
@livinontheedge75864 жыл бұрын
You buy it on the internet, isn’t that available anywhere? People watch him from around the world, he’d have to use only products sold in stores world wide but he’s going to prefer beauty salon professional grade products anyway because that’s what he’s familiar with.. if we already own mousse or spray that we like using then obviously we’ll do these techniques with that..

He forgot to mention the most important rule for trying to achieve this, especially on the first method. Once you have scrunched and begin the air dry process, DONT TOUCH IT! Like AT ALL until it is dry. The more you mess with it while its trying to dry, the greater the chance for frizz.

I usually just flip my head upside down: -put some product in -braid it off the front/top of my head and then halfway through I feed in some strips of fabric in (make sure the strips go past the length of your hair) So instead of putting a hair tie an inch before the ends of your hair, you’re braiding and securing the ends of the fabric so there’s no straight/kinked ends from the hair tie... and also this helps keep the waves the same size instead of them gradually getting smaller down the length of the hair cause the hair gets thinner towards the ends whether there’s layers or breakage. ☺️ just what I’ve been doing a while 😁 it helps!

It sounds like we have the exact same type of hair! I sleep with my hair in a loose braid and it doesn't affect my texture, but it prevents a lot of tangles. Also, I refresh my hair every morning by running a damp, wide tooth comb through my hair. After that I scrunch with glitterati and my hair looks freshly air-dried and it only takes me about 2 min. to do my hair!

I tend to turn my hair upside down into a square silk scarf into a triangle for night. Tying it at the nape of my neck. The next day I just use a water squirter (my bottle is for plants) and spritz away. Some nesty days the water is really dripping from my hair. Then I scrunch, pin and go. I’m lazy. And not a morning person.

@@troyklk7734 Oh I have definitely battled frizz with how dry and crazy my hair can get. My absolute favorite product for frizz is VO5 Conditioning Hairdressing for Normal/Dry Hair. I've only ever seen it in a few drugstores, so you might have to order it off Amazon, but it's less than $10. It's literally amazing. It looks like a weird tube of toothpaste, but I swear that a pea-sized amount of that stuff does more for my dry, frizzy hair than a handful of argan oil. I warm a tiny bit up on my hands and run it over my ends and then use the excess to smooth over my frizz. It stays away all day long! Just make sure you only run the excess over the frizz or you might look a little greasy. :)

Great video - thanks for sharing these techniques! The second one took me back to my teenage years when perms were all the rage. My mum wouldn't let me have a perm because I was too young but I wanted curly hair so I used to braid my hair every night and comb it out in morning. And while it seems a lot to say I did 20-25 braids before I went to bed each night, I got pretty fast at it and could do it in no time. By the time I got up in the morning my hair was dry and I had lovely curly hair. Even the ends were curly as I would wrap those around pipe cleaners. The things we girls do to look fashionable eh?! :)

Admire the waviness, put on a T-shirt, watch the waves disappear slightly 6. let it actually air dry 7. And brush when it’s dry bc if I brush when it’s wet any natural waves will leave me 😂 And my hair is thin af so if I even just think of putting any product in my hair it loses its will to live and will just be completely flat... 🤣

I've been mixing a little leave-in conditioner with a strong gel in my palm, and fingering it through my hair. If it's really dripping, I'll sometimes pat the ends with a microfiber towel. Then I lean back in a chair for ten minutes. That's it. (The conditioner thins out the gel for a more even coverage. Without a cream type conditioner mixed in, half my hair will dry frizzy, and half will be hard and look wet.) My hair can form ringlets if I coat each strand separately while they're soaking wet and if they're separated enough not to touch other locks. But otherwise (because I'd gotten tired of spending so much time on it and now I just finger it through without separating), my hair usually dries in a weird back and forth pattern. Mostly. Sometimes I can find three or four different curl patterns on the same lock of hair, because my hair is crazy. haha, at 11:54 that's pretty much how my hair looked when I used to try getting it as straight as possible by brushing it while wet. I'm surprised by how frizzy it looks, even with 'no frizz'. I think it looks nice with the second product in, though. I might change my mind. The second method's finish might look more like me with straight hair. Yeah, that resembles the "poofy" and "afro" I was made fun of for during my teen years. Pin-straight hair was in at the time (if only I had been born in the 70's instead of the 80's). And though someone had once given me a flat iron as a gift, it took way too much time and effort just to do my bangs. Plus my hair's too dry for that much heat. 19:41 it's Rey! From Star Wars. The finished look is nice on that last one. I like it. The bun thing worked out really nice.

Are you kidding me?????? This is going to change my life! My hair is fine, blonde, dead straight, typical ‘Scandi’ hair. I love an overnight wave so I’ve got more time in the morning. Can’t wait to try the last technique. Also…. using the clips for volume?!? Dead. Such a good idea. THANK YOU BRAD 🙏
