This is a smart approach Lisa because most retail algo auto-lot size scaling is WAY too aggressive. It's one of the main reasons we see so many blown accounts. Many vendors sell good algos but most set their "auto risk" too high in order to stay competitive in the (unrealistic) retail algo trading space. Simply put... A developer won't make sales unless a trader sees one of 2 things... 1. High monthly (5-100%) short-term percent gains (0-12 months). 2. Low monthly (1-5%) long-term percent gains (1-5 years). Most developers go for the (high monthly gains) because it's easier and appeals more to trader's unrealistic expectations. So yes... A lot of good algo's go to waste because they try too hard to stay competitive. It's basically our job to re-optimize because the developers are not out for our best interest. Nice Approach with the 0.01 lot sizes Lisa.👍

Please continue with this type of videos about lots, results based on lot size, aggressive and conservative accounts based on lot size because I think that is the key.

I love the testing approach. 🙂 For us at home EA vendors make it very hard. Their demos are very short you can't really do any if this or personal testing in a month or in aperiod they provide. They should offer unlimited demo account demos, but i guess there could be technical limitations for not doing so. Their prices are also constantly rising. Just a few years back all these could be had for few hundred at most. Now its is normal to see 700-1000$ per EA. That is crazy as it forces you to risk to much if you can only start with a few 1000...

yea, I agree. EA prices are crazy high

Great tips Lisa! I will definitely use them. How did you calculate lot size on your cent account? I didn't get the sentence when you're saying that you want to risk 0.01 lot per 2000$
@LisaForexx3 ай бұрын
I used the formula : lots = account balance / 2k * 0.01

@@LisaForexx thanks! how about robots for indexes i.e. SP500 or NASDAQ? and also cryptocurrencies i.e. BTCUSD or ETHUSD? would you still use 0.01 lot size to be sure you're still comparing aples to aples?

Hi Lisa. I have a fundamental question: according to your experience, are you able to make money with robot traders? If so, consistently? ... 👍thank you!

Hi, if you've been following my journey, I am no longer testing hundreds of EAs. I prefer systems that are adapted to the current market condition, and where I have more control.
