The reason for me that Monday Wednesday Friday are odd is that I have my odd class periods that day (1,3,5). Tuesdays and Thursdays I have my even class periods (2,4,6). Even the classes themselves feel odd on Mondays and even on Tuesdays.

According to the Arabic language colleen is right!: Sunday means "the one" because it's the first day of the week Monday means two as in the second day of the week Tuesday means three ,Wednesday means four ,Thursday means five While Friday comes from the word "meeting" and Saturday means "a moment in time" or "the rest" because in most Arab countries the weekend falls on Friday and Saturday. I grew up having block scheduling in high school and my school always made Monday, Wednesday, and Friday odd days and Tuesday and Thursday even days, which meant that you would have your odd periods on the odd days and your even periods on the even days. Rarely you’d have a regular day which meant you’d have all of your classes. For example: Monday would be 1,3,5,7 and Tuesday would be 2,4,5,6 (always had 5th period every day).

I LOVED this episode. Thank you for having Rachel on. I’m also the one in a million who didn’t know they were gay until they met someone and BOOM 🎉 I grew up in a Christian cult where I was told what to believe and how to act and function in society and there was certainly no room for gays in that equation for anyone who was apart of this cult. Even when I left at 23, I jumped right into mainstream Christianity which still cast judgement upon the queer community so I still never gave it a thought or option. I knew that I found men attractive and that was that for me, as far as I was concerned. In fact, I married a pastor and was a proper pastors wife for 8 years and had two beautiful children together. Then about two years ago, my marriage fell apart and I finally had the chance to take a step back from it all and decide who I wanted to be and how I wanted to live my life. Looking back, it took a series of unfortunate things (my husband cheating on me with my best friend who was his church secretary at the time. Yeah. I swear I should write a book) to happen in my life in order for me to be open to something new and invite a new identity and a fresh, healthy perspective on deciding what I would allow and be open to accept into my life and ultimately influence my children’s lives as well. After months and months of therapy, I started asking myself “why” I did certain things throughout the day or “why” I felt attracted to certain people and anytime I answered that question with “well, it’s because that’s how I was told it should be” I would dig deeper and probe more and gently invite myself to challenge deeply ingrained thought processes and give myself space and grace to think differently. It was hard as hell because those thought processes were so deeply engrained for decades, but it was also so healing and therapeutic. So I persisted. Then one day at my work I saw someone who I’d never met before (not uncommon in a workplace of 350+ people) and I was stopped in my tracks, finding myself feeling intense attraction for her (yes her) for the first time. Fast forward, and we’ve been together for over a year and it’s been the most beautiful, loving relationship I hope to ever experience. She is supporting me in my journey to heal through the fears of judgement and what being openly gay feels like in a small, conservative community that only knew me before as a pastors wife, but I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world. My kids absolutely adore her too.❤️ Life is such a learning journey, and I’m grateful it brought me to the unexpected realization that Im gay and coming out at 36. 😂❤ Thanks for letting me share a bit of my story and how connected I felt with Rachel’s coming out story. I’m an avid Coleen vlog watcher and Rachel vlog watcher, so though I missed Carrot this week, I loved this episode with Rachel!

Maybe Colleen thinks Sunday is the first day of the week because her memorie is mostly visual and the first day of the week, on a calender in the USA is Sunday and maybe that's the only way she's seen a calender. I partly grew up in Germany and calanders there start with Monday, I have also been taught that God rested on the last day of the week ( the 7th day/ Sunday) wich is why all stores in Germany are closed on Sunday, it also sounds better in German, if you start with Monday, while saying all the week days. I'm with you, that Monday, Wednesday, Friday are even and Tuesday, Thursday are odd... but Monday IS the first day of the week, Sunday makes NO sense!

Actually they totally can cut your bladder when you’re getting a c-section, my first one they accidentally cut open my bladder because they said it was abnormally high and had to stitch it and I had to have a catheter for a bit! Could have been the case for your mom!

In Portuguese, days of the week are named like this: Monday is Segunda-Feira (Segunda in English is “Second”) Tuesday is Terça-Feira (Terça means “a third”) Wednesday is Quarta-Feira (Quarta means “fourth” in english) Thursday is Quinta-Feira (Quinta means “fifth”) Friday is Sexta-feira (sexta means “sixth”) Saturday and Sunday are Sábado and Domingo - they don’t have a direct meaning in english on numbers. In Hebrew you call the day of the weeks by number/ order essentially. So Sunday called "first" Monday called "second", Tuesday called "third" and so on.. literally no other names to the days in Hebrew... so Monday, Wednesday, Friday even for sure
