I'm pretty sure the airfyer should be cleaned and preheated before use. Cleaned to burn off chemicals like you do for a grill. Preheated to the desired temp for the actual cook time.

The instructions said: "Burn in the grill at 350°F for 30 minutes to remove any residue from the manufacturing process." Everything you cook on needs to be washed, cleaned before use. Even a coffee maker gets a few run throughs before the 1st actual cup.

After graduating high school I moved out of my parents’ house and in with my boyfriend. Our first night in our new apartment I baked a pizza in the oven and left the cardboard on the bottom. Rookie move. And he immediately thought I couldn’t cook. Well that was 16 years ago...and my boyfriend is now my husband....and he STILL brings it up every time I make a pizza. I hope this Air Fryer bit is something that they can laugh about for years to come 😂

100% agree 👍..Tip #1 Wash any type of cookware b4 u use it with mild soap, water, & a non abrasive sponge. Tip #2 read instructions. But this was fun to watch though. LOL 😆

When the airfryer says “0n” it’s still preheating the device, the timer doesn’t start until the chamber is hot, so your food has already cooked for a at least a full 5min before the timer starts, that’s why you’re getting overcooked food lol 😆 Let it preheat, pull out the draw, add food, and close it back

Just an FYI, you cant cook things in an air fryer based on the times it says for a conventional oven or microwave. I have found, most of the things i make in my air fryer are 400 degrees at anywhere from 10 to 12 minutes. Tiny beef tacos, taquitos, chicken nuggets, chicken strips, etc

Yeah, and the thicker and more dense the food, like steak fries or frozen pizza you want to start lowering the temp and increasing the time so the heat reaches the center before the outside is burnt.

@@lstruggy 8 minutes at 300 degrees is my go to for starting out. The pizza should be good. If still a little cold in the middle then add a minute or two. The corn dogs always come out good in between 5 and 8 minutes based on how many you put in the fryer. Try not to let them touch if you put multiples in. That stops the air from reaching all sides and that stops the convection action of the air fryer. Good luck!

It is a learning curve thing. I had my air fryer for 7 years and I really love it. My dad also agreed that the air fryer is better. Next air fryers cook faster than your conventional oven. The time you need to reduce it.

I got an air fryer as a gift too. I got one for my birthday and I didn't expect that anyone else would have the same mindset as me. Also, I recommend that you read the instructions before you use any new electrical appliance especially if your gonna use it with food. You could also make other types of food like chicken wings or even cupcakes it doesn't have to be frozen food.

Jo’s son’s pizza just a tad over done, but prefer to Jo’s which looks like still needs a few more minutes. Just trial and error on the time. Frozen chicken strips we buy have the time/temp for air fryers now. My 10 yr old loves using it!
