This was so great. I grew up catholic and I really don't resonate with it. I always felt like my heart leaned towards buddhism but because of personal reasons, organized religion isnt for me. With that being said, I always tell people my spiritual journey is me just trying to be a better person and this video gave me so much clarity. I can't wait to read the recommended books and links. This is such a rational and warm account of something so personal to someone: their spiritual belief. You really did a wonderful job sharing it in an open and personable manner. Like you, I first encountered the practice via a family member in the yearly 2000s. As I grew older and more mature I reconnected with it in a similar way, basically going through an internal process because I was never forced to practice, more like encouraged due to its benefits. I later realized in the bottom of my heart that it is really something for me, and that I want to do for the rest of my life. Fast forward to now, I cherish everything I gained from it, as well as everything I could give back, feels like my heart grew bigger throughout the years. Keep up the good work Rowena!

i was raised catholic and I left it for a while and then came back to it when i was 17 and for a while, it was something I loved until I came to terms with who I am and what I really hold true to my heart. through this, I started falling out of love with Catholicism and in love with spirituality. for Christmas I actually received crystals, candles, incense, oracle cards and a crystal handbook and I'm actually very excited to enter into my own journey of spirituality. I don't exactly know what spirituality means to me but I think I lean more towards connecting with the earth. the idea of honouring Mother Nature and the universe and everything she has given to us is so beautiful to me. I just want to live a live of positivity, constantly making efforts to see the world in light rather than darkness.

Focusing on incorporating more spirituality and mindfulness has literally saved my life. I was in a really dark place and struggling with anxiety and depression. But with some consistency learning to be more mindful and observant of what's going on internally and externally has made such a big difference. I'm now in a much better space and try to share what I've learned with others.
