Stuff we use:
LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq
AUDIO
Rode VideoMic Pro - The Rode mic helps us capture our backup audio. It also helps us sync up our audio in post amzn.to/2t1n2hx
Audio Recorder - If we had to do it all over again, this is probably the first item we would have bought - amzn.to/2tbFlM9
LIGHTS - Although we like to use as much natural light as we can, we often enhance the lighting with this small portable light. We have two of them and they have saved us a number of times - amzn.to/2u5UnHv
COMPUTER - Our favorite computer, we each have one and have used various models since 2010 - amzn.to/2t1M67Z
EDITING - We upgraded our editing suite this year and we’re glad we did! This has improved our workflow and the quality of our work. Having new software also helps when we have a problem, it’s easy to search and find a solution - goo.gl/56LnpM

I find these people to be the most interesting people. And, their profession appears to be entirely meritocratic. You’re a great interviewer too. You really let them talk and amazingly you have your next question ready when they finish speaking while I’d be in Wow-land!!!! based on the insights they gave. I’d recommend 99% of other paid interviewers to listen to you in order to understand how it’s supposed to be done. Are we dreaming here…I can’t believe how great this stuff is here. Thank you!!!

I've written a three part crime drama miniseries (1st episode was a University project) as well as a two hour feature film. Nothing's come of them as of yet but I'm proud to have finished them-Starting to work on some short stories and a novel next, I really hope it works out. Nice interview-Thanks Film Courage!

I think is a best way to find the main motivation / scenery and vision of climax of a book, movie or brand.

Looks like Carol Pearson is still with us. I have her book The Hero Within. I think archetypes are great way to have context for motivations. Through life's journey, different demands will bring out resources that are embedded in the different archetypes. A flux. We are in a sense shapeshifters, and this is reflected in the stories we tell. Fascinating interview. Notes taken.

The first nineteen minutes makes you wonder how many possible films are ruined by too many rewrites or too many writers on a project. I know its not going to happen, or at least not anytime soon, but I wish that the industry would do as little rewriting on scripts (unless absolutely necessary) as possible. Because, most of the time they just jumble things up, ruin good scripts, and then have to abandon it when its all destroyed.

Snow White and the Huntsman is possibly the biggest screenwriting comp spec script sale of recent years. If you look at the rotten tomatoes verdict it says "confused plot". You won't be surprised to hear that the writer said after selling the script the production company made him rewrite it 11 times.

SHEESH. Im manifesting for one week like that. Pitch by tuesday, millionaire by thursday. Years of hard focus ethic n work to get a lump sum return like that. Smh BLESSING indeed. If i can make less than $5,000 a year work as i have for the past few years, ik i could make waves with that. Motivating and inspiring indeed.

Great guy, well read, successful but as much as I hate to, I have to object to the emperor in star wars as primary villain analysis. Vader is "bring order" guy. The emperor is more in line with the Italian Elite Theory analysis of power. It's political formula with him: de facto power counts, de jure power doesn't. Ask Donald Trump.

When he starts talking "science vs. technology" and isn't able to correct himself for 5 minutes straight - that's when I realized the guy does not ever listen to anything he's saying. He's just word-saladding the listener to the point of utter bafflement, so that he does not get questioned.
