Poor thing, i hope this segment didn't completely damage her image. I hold out some hope that she's a kind and intelligent woman who understands the importance of acknowledging who the era and society _actually_ benefitted and doesn't try to cover up the elephant in the room with a rug all because it makes her and others uncomfortable (btw, acknowledging the issues _should_ make people uncomfortable! it helps you to process and realize that, in several aspects, the way of living wasn't right and desperately needed to change!) Idk if you're talking about the lady in this video who said she's addicted to makeup-- she will drop everything to fix it no matter how ridiculous the situation, she wears it 22hr a day and usually sleeps in it which is destroying her skin I imagine, she ignores the possible danger of getting eyeliner permanently tattooed on her eyelids because she's so obsessed with the look it gives her. She's DEFINITELY addicted because her need to have her makeup be on and perfect nearly 24/7 not only damages her body but also the relationships she has with other people.

It’s crazy at what people are addicted to and the animal blood really creeped me out. However, I will admit that the 1950s house was actually really cool! I too love the 1950s for things like designs and fashion.

They tried to make the amount of makeup seem obscene but that’s a very normal and standard about of makeup that woman was wearing. The problem would be how often she wears it and if she can never be barefaced ever, stuff like that.

the gal obsessed with death doesn't seem that odd to me. It's pretty normal to be fascinated with the idea of death.

That blow dryer thing is super common. I know a few people who don’t necessarily sleep with theirs on, but they sit with them on to calm down

@@strictlysadmusic13 No, the tv. Pause at 3:52, and you can see it’s just a 2000s CRT tv stuck inside the shell of a 1950s CRT tv. It has both a VCR and DVD slot 😂

2:36 the makeup lady doesn’t rlly have an addiction it’s just her way of feeling pretty.Also have you heard Dolly Parton talking about her make up routine.I hate when people say it’s ugly for older women to wear a lot makeup.Both this woman and Dolly Parton puts on lots of makeup to make themselves pretty except one is call “addicted” for it and the other is letting themselves shine.

As someone absolutely obsessed with the end 70s and 80s Rock and Roll fashion, music and “culture” I don’t get how someone can not realise that *choosing* to dress and live like that is in most cases, something that wouldn’t have been possible in that era. Today it’s a choice, but the 50s lady wouldn’t have had that choice back then. Makes it way less appealing. I personally would also prefer living in the 70s/80s but it’s foolish not to a knowledge the bad and non progressive aspects. Plus, if I did live then, idk if I’d have liked it! Maybe there wouldn’t be as great of a deal about it
@nk361 Жыл бұрын
She wouldn't have had a choice to wear a dress? What? "Progressive" stuff now is the opposite of progress, literally couldn't be further from progress. We are on a steep downhill slide from liberals in every area of morals. They are the most hateful people of modern times and they encourage the worst choices imaginable.

The 50s woman style is nice, and it seems harmless until she started talking. People with aesthetics from past era's need to be more careful with their wording because it was definitely not a ''perfect time'' maybe for a (bigoted) white cis-men... To me, that just seems like hell.
