Thank you Frank for critiquing my SUV. Well this thing i sent you was a long time ago and i still feel like it's not in the perfect condition. One thing that probably couldn't be seen on pictures due to a low resolution - segmented taillights are actually separated by the trunk door. I'd like to sent you my latest project and fix the McLaren SUV issues. I honestly didn't think about to place an engine in the wheelbase. Well, i'd consider to change whole car's proportions. Thank you again Frank, hearing your opinion is very important for my future career. Aight, i have to say my name is not Maximus, my name is Maxim, Uskov is the last name :D

Can we get exotic manufacturer hot hatch or station wagon designs instead? Since both are far more practical, better to drive, and aesthetically pleasing than suburban assault vehicles?

Fabulous to see this critiquing back. I'm actually blown away by the McLaren not even being that much of a fan of SUVs at all lol. I can imagine that one as an idea or initial study piece made in the actual design studio by an upcoming potential, and then going through revisions with the team and head of the department. At that age, it's a brilliant piece of work!

incredible Maxim Uskov! the snorkel nose is a bit much indeed, but the rest of the car looks amazingly authentic. Especially the rear. If one likes it or not, the blackness, and the blandness of the lights is something you find on all 'high volume' McLarens, and i like the look here more than on the real ones. The hypothetical SUV would probably interpret it exactly this way. what would it need mashes for there, and stuff? I think the wheels look very McLaren-ish as well. a bit simple, but not too shabby I hate SUVs, for enviremental reasons, and because they've killed so many other more reasonable, as well as sporty cars in the line up of manufacturers, but simultaniously i love the looks af some of them. The Pinin Farina one is crazy f.e. Still i pray McLaren won't do one, but now i think i could become more warm with it than i thought. The PuroSangue is another example. Hated the idea, can't hate the look of the car

I dont do car designs per se but I design stuff for video games so a lot of it still applies, we still deal with structural lines, flow, ratios, rhythms, silhouetting etc...A lot of the visual principles are the same.

Frank we need a special car design for Canadian winter. Needs to be able to jump a curb and lower on the highway. Something that will not get stuck in snow but also utilitarian in urban settings. There’s no place for us to put our ice scraper. We scrape ice off in the winter so maybe fibreglass designs. I’ll pay for it. When XRP goes to the moon.

Love these. Would love to see if you could somehow distill car design “donts” into a video? I nominate the hideous Nissan Cube as an example. Circular windows. Proportions to make Postman Pat’s van look like an Italian super car. The piddly wheels that looked nabbed from a moped. The horrible front that gives the car a look of an arachnid with the legs removed. And aerodynamics that make a cow feel speedy.

Since you are commenting others design, I was wondering what do you think of the future Renault 4 and 5 since you successfully revived 2 of the most iconic cars in history, and by the way, did Luca de Meo approached you? Another thing, since sometimes you mention the origin of the brand to justify some lines in a car, would you be able to sketch a car with what you consider as typical or expected from the famous car producing countries like England, France, Italy, Germany, US and Japan. That could be a nice series.

I want to start by saying I love what they came up with. I think it's a fantastic design and of all the features I think my favorite is the shallow angle of the front glass, it's very slick looking. The reason why black backgrounds are so popular, is because it works a lot better on digital screens. Bright white light, expecially while sketching for long hours, is incredibly fatiguing to the eyes.
