My sweet girl, I feel you. I had my first panic attack when I was 8 on the bleachers at a football game. I had no idea what it was at the time, but I was paralyzed with fear. That was the start of a life long dance with anxiety. But the good news is… I graduated from college, got married, had 2 kids, taught school for 20 years, and moved to a new state with my husband of 40 years. Anxiety sucks, but I learned that it ebbs and flows, and I lived a great life. I’m 64, and crushing the grandma scene. You got this, Morgan. At some point you’ll be able to make friends with your anxiety, and say, “oh, hello again, I know you..” Morgan, you are brave, beautiful, and smart as hell. You will find ways to cope.. you have a beautiful life ahead of you. I adore you. ❤️

Winter is slow anyway when it comes to construction, too cold for a lot of works so you are not missing that much. I renovated my house as well. This is what happens to so many kids. Screws their brains and it’s completely avoidable. I am sorry you went through it. I had major anxiety but no medication. But I know many kids that were medicated at a young age and their anxiety is completely different and severe. Thank you for talking about it. 😊

December was a bunch of no’s for me. I kept getting turned down for jobs and I kept saying in my head rejection is redirection. The second week of January I got offered an awesome job that pays more than the other places I applied for!! So grandma is right, rejection is redirection, you’ll end up exactly where you need to be at just the right time. ❤️

Same! I got really sick to the point of being on my death bed at 15 and I basically pushed everyone away and was in a deep depression with really bad ptsd aside from dealing with now forever life altering debilitating health issues. I had no one to talk to no one understood what i was going through and it took foreverrrr for me to get to the other side of things and be in a good state of mind. I know for sure if i had more people who understood me i would have enjoyed my life..my youth way more. Its refreshing that now a days young people can find others sharing their struggles cz just knowing someone knows what youre going through is a huge help.

I’ve never heard another person articulate the feeling I get of wanting to take drastic measures (break your leg) to get out of doing something seemingly mundane (going to class) because of anxiety before. Like, sometimes _I_ fantasize about _intentionally getting into a car wreck_ on the way to work so I don’t have to go, just because I hate my restaurant job and having to interact with people so much. I know, crazy. Luckily I’ve never actually done it, but sometimes I really, _really_ want to. No shit, anxiety can fuck a bitch up. But yeah, don’t sweat it. My January 2022 was a wash too. And thanks for the post and update, hopefully it was as therapeutic for you to make as it was for me to watch! Side note, do you ever just forget how to spell a word you’ve been using for half your life? I just spent 5 minutes trying to spell “drastic” as “jurastic” and “gurastic” and wondering why autocorrect was all like 👁👄👁.

I use to feel like this going to my job too, it's honestly worth it to find a different job, one where you dont interact with people sm. It greatly improved my anxiety.

I’m working on finding a better career, but in the meantime, I don’t know where else I can make anywhere from $25 an hour on a bad night, to $50 an hour on a great night. It’s hard to walk away from that kind of money, haha. But I know I’m far from the only one struggling with the “pay my bills OR be happy” dilemma.
