Pokémon Legends Z-A got announced and I decided to give my initial thoughts and predications. I'll eventually get proven wrong or right once we get more information about Pokémon Legends Z-A but it's still fun to discuss.

Soeyue isn't only an anagram for "See You" (as in the Zygarde Cells are always watching the ecossystems). It's Euyeos backwards. This word in old Greek means "bountiful" but it roughly translates to "fruitful earth". It's a nod to Zygarde's Ground Type and the academy names of SV. Kalos in the same idiom means "beauty".

I mean tbf street lights were made in the 16th century... so it could take place before Pokémon Legends: Arceus since Japan was a very different culture for a while since they locked themselves from everyone else. I mean most people agree its probably in the 18th century. Which does semi line up with this since France had a redevelopment plan around this era.

If i'm being honest, i almost cried when the trailer revealed "Urban Redevelopment plan - Lumiose City" and my hands were shaking too because i grew up watching Pokemon XYZ. And i don't care what pokemon will get megas or even if Charizard gets another one because the only pokemon i want to see get them are Chesnaught, Delphox, Flygon and Zoroark. But we still need to wait for more news to know what will be going on in the game and what pokemon will show up in it

Im going to say scorbunny will be a starter not for the soccer but because APPARENTLY napoleon and co organised a rabbit hunt that ended up having hundreds/thousands of rabbits who attacked the men back and forced them to retreat... So its a fun bit of history, and would line up perfectly with serperior's french royalty theme and empoleon being... Empoleon...

@@Asm0d3u5 it was like - napoleon had signed the treaty of tilsit - his men wanted to celebrate - they organise a rabbit hunt - the general in charge of getting the rabbits gets tame ones that are used to seeing humans instead of wild ones that would run, not realising theres a difference - rabbits see humans - humans mean food is coming - go to humans because food and hungry (they had not been fed that day) - chaos At first the men thought it was funny but soon got scared and tried to retreat, but plenty of rabbits followed them and apparently maxe it into the carriages as well

No in the games it is stated that AZ ultimate weapon created a another timeline where mega stones exist and mega stones are created by AZ ultimate weapon that's was powered by billions of pokemon sacrifice at the time of war to bring back his pokemon from death.

Paris had a LARGE redevelopment in the 1800s (or 1900s?) to make it the way it is today. So it's probably the past. The trailer imagines what it WILL be. Btw, Legends Arceus was also in the 1800s (Meiji Era). But, yeah, your videos are great!

The “urban redevelopment” is almost certainly based on the redevelopment of Paris, which took place in the mid 1800’s, the exact same time legends arcues took place.

XY were my first games. Though I was disappointed in how short the game was, it still hooked me up. Mega Evolutions were awesome, and the music, man, the music in XY was AMAZING! ORAS afterward was great at keeping me into Pokémon too, with the amazing amount of content and story writing. I'm happy to see a return to Kalos.

I still think it's in the past. Possibly during the French Revolution or after a war(not the 3000 years ago one. Maybe a different war). I also hope that there's a Catacombs because Pairs have the Catacombs of Pairs. It would allow us a lot more rooms to explore even if we are limited to Lumiose city.

Legends is by far the greatest game they've ever made from a replayability standpoint, even had features that the games after didn't, like the overworld shiny noise, shinies showing in boxes, mass transferring pokemon. I don't understand how anyone can be mad.

8:08 no they were not. Mega Stones are made when evolution stones absorbed leftover energy from the ultimate weapon. But yeah, Mewtwo having a mega stone makes no sens As for Oras, the reason Mega Stones are in Hoenn is cuz the region gets frequent meteor showers, and when the ultimate weapon’s laser was fired up into space, before it fell back down, the energy leeched into a bunch of space rocks, that become meteors. That’s also the reason why Rayquaza doesn’t need a Mega Stone, cuz it eats meteors. And those same meteors have the ultimate weapon’s energy in them, allowing Rayquaza to mega evolve

The star logo featured in the teaser is for a team likely named "Quasar", due to the shape of the letters in the wordmark and the appearance of the symbol itself. It's extremely fitting since quasars emit EM radiation, like solar flares emitted from the sun Now before you say that the choice of "quasar" makes it impossible for ZA to be set before the 20th century (because the word was coined in the 1950s-60s), might I remind you that Rayquaza, despite being an ancient Pokémon, was likely named after quasars (in the languages other than CJK) based on the spelling and the "official" English pronunciation "Ray-kway-za" (I say "Ray-kwah-za" personally tho lol)

I hope battle bond has a evolved form with another 110 stat boost on top of the 110 stat boost just to make a cracked greninja but the side effect is that with this even stronger form you need a mega like stone as infinity energy makes mega stones battle bond is using the energy in the trainer so this mega stone would use energy from the area

At one point, Paris didn't want any wildlife in the city at all. Nature was slowly reintroduced when King Louis made people see nature in a different way. In Legends: Arceus, people and pokemon live separate lives and are just barely coming together as partners. Legends: Z-A could be so rich in lore. It'll most likely focus on the point where Lumiose City goes from a concrete fortress meant to keep out hostile pokemon, to a modern mecca where people and pokemon live and work together in peace and harmony.

Z-A is AZ mixed up, just like the unown in the presents was a mixed up spelling of Seeyou, and with paradox pokemon being introduced in ScarVi, and pokemon sticking with 1 theme through the current generation, its all hinting that we are gonna be travelling backwards and forwards in time causing and or fixing paradoxes to make sure we get the correct timelime. And AZs floette is probably a paradox form which is why they were catchable in area zero in Scarvi

think my idea of ZA is that it takes place in the "future", by virtue of being placed in an anachronistically-shifted but still linked timeframe compared to the other universes. but only because the emergence of paradox universes caused some worlds to "budge" up in the cosmology. the game will have a late-stage reveal that one of the main constructors is Colress who first appeared within Lumiose a few years after USUM, or at least sometime after the attempted "time machine" in Paldea was first fired up. in reality the universe where ZA takes place in is within the 60's or 70's with the knowedge (at least Pokemon from outside the region) kept as an internal secret within Quasar. Quasar would be a shell company Chairman Rose previously bought when climbing up the ladder for businesses. Colress eventually completes his transdimensional machine, instead of it launching people+places back to their home realities (see Ghetsis and the Rainbow Rocket episode), he can actually move locations. this'd make it better than losing your memories while stumbling through a ultra wormhole, and removes the need of an Alola box legendary that the URS has. It was said in the backstory that the previous king of Kalos (at least it was a king?) found a forbidden book, alluded to be AZ. the book Colress had in the BW2 intro looked strangely Alolan, maybe at some point, Colress perfects some research but loses it in a ultra wormhole or time vortex to establish a bookstrap paradox. Arceus presumably allows it, due to pulling the player back in time during Legends Arceus. there's other canon where Arceus was able to shield time paradoxes or let worlds exist, like Dusknoir's world in PMD2. Colress was inspired by the Ultra Megalopolis and its spire, to attempt to mimic a similar structure at the Prism Tower in Lumiose. (obv Clemont only just modified what was already there. Zygarde probably would be in the game somehow. maybe as an artificial pokemon. aura break being used to neutralize the box legends...maybe the new one can harness or produce it "freely". it has a hexagon-shaped core, same as Rose's Beard, Oleana's earrings, Jacq's glasses and Colress' eyes. Maybe a double-twist would be that Megas were discovered *NOW*, and are treated more like a creatable device for convenience. (think mobile phones, ipods, ect) rather than a seemingly-natural and limited resource tied into Kalos' previously-established history (barring Ghurkinn's ancestors). maybe there'd be a double-whammy that ZA takes place within the Original Generation's universe, except for technology advancements caused Giovanni to absolutely curbstomp the local populace of the world. not only making Giovanni a dimension-hopper, but also a Time-Traveller. Celebi would be used as the initial plot-starter, but also an aftergame plot device to explain how mutual realities can occur, with RR Giovanni being able to pull characters like Team Magma/Aqua in. USUM could potentially occur concurrently (assuming Necrozma is retconned from being THE Blinding One, and more like sapient shards, think Deoxys or Phione). might explain there being multiple N-Solar/Lunarizers, could be sidestepped as either OOParts, or intentional URS/Interpol-influence to keep intra-dimensional destruction down rather than let Necrozma go free and drain worlds of light.

People expecting unova and saying “all the signs pointing towards it”. That’s just sinnoh confirmed all over again. GF might be ‘greedy’ and all that, but they dont shovel out remakes. Distance between HgSs and ORAS? 2 gens. ORAS and BDSP? 2 gens. Shoveling out remakes might just lead to stagnation, so i consider this a good thing, giving GF a chance to improve its game, which is necessary for the remakes considering the general opinion of BDSP’s failure of a remake. Give them time to reflect so that you get proper remakes for the legendary unova games

I'd be fine with the game taking place in the modern era. But if you look at the trailer in it's totality, it fades from paper to blue outlines then back to paper. That suggests to me that takes place before the current state of Lumiose city. Again fine with it being current day, but it looks to me to be in the past.

I think the design of the A in the logo is supposed to represent the nature of Kalos, more specifically Lumiose City's once pristine wilderness before it became the major population centre we see it as today. Zygarde's Pokédex entry essentially states Zygarde will show its true power when the ecosystems of Kalos are under attack. Considering the "urban redevelopment plan" shown in the trailer, and the Hausmannian inspirations, I believe the game will cover the loss of nature of the area as Lumiose City expands. The widespread damage to the local ecosystems will prompt Zygarde to appear to try and eliminate the humans destroying the homes of Pokémon. Perhaps we as the player will have to find a way to make Lumiose City a home for both people and Pokémon. This hawks back to the trailer with Lumiose becoming "a place for people and Pokémon," while also showing co-existence with Pokémon that Legends Arceus was hinting towards. The choice of Z-A is likely also referencing AZ, the king of Kalos 3,000 years ago.

Pokemon X/Y were the most forgettable games for me, which is a shame because it introduced a lot of mechanics that definitely improved the franchise. It was the first to introduce the 3rd person POV, in depth character customization, Fairy type, Mega-evolution, and "rent-able" pokemon mechanics which would eventually overhaul the HM system. So many improvements in a forgettable story and region. Unova is my favorite, but I am so here for a Kalos redemption. It definitely deserves it. I'm also loving that they are using this series to do heavy experimentation. As much as I loved Arceus, the franchise as a whole can get repetitive (which is why X/Y is so forgettable in the first place), so I don't want to see them fall into a long stretch of Arceus clones. I'm here for the super limited map. I'm here for all of it.

Z-A will definitely be set in the past, the trailer has nothing futuristic, it's just an animated blueprint.
