I've been taking collagen peptides powder for 2 .months now and I had seriously deep wrinkles from medication due to my broken tailbone, so my medicine was causing constipation and dry, wrinkled skin, it's filled my deep wrinkles and my skin is hydrated like when I was in my 20. My nurse told me I looked like someone in their 20's. I will continue to take the product for my bones and the benefits are great looking skin. This product has saved me $450.00 for fillers, thank you Vital Proteins!!

Great video! Somewhere in our 20s, we start losing collagen at a rate of 1% per year. So for example, someone in their 50s has lost about 30% collagen. That's when you start seeing things like painful inflammation and joint problems due to lack of collagen. It's critical to supplement collagen your entire life after age 30 for future bone and joint health, as well as beautiful hair, nails, and skin.

Used the unflavored one for almost 2 years straight. Did NOTHING for me. I don't have wrinkles but my hair or nails were not any better for it. I enjoyed the neutral taste and the texture it added to foods. I used to mix it with full fat grass-fed cottage cheese and a little bit of fruit. I now eat meats with more natural collagen and that has made a world of difference to my health.

You have to take collagen on an empty stomach, because if you eat it with food your stomach acid will break the collagen down and your body won’t be able to absorb it. Drinking it on an empty stomach means your stomach acid won’t be activated and your body can fully absorb the hydrolyzed collagen in your bloodstream, which will reach your dermis and joints. Drink it at night with vitamin c for maximum absorption.

Vitamin C is imperative for proper collagen uptake and synthesis. I make a herbal Rosehip tea and add a tsp collagen. I also take a natural vit C daily from Pure Synergy- Pure Radiance C. Anytime I have bone broth I always add fresh squeezed lemon juice.

People 50+ are older than 30, thus LHASA APSO3 = moron Collagen is the body's most important building block and it makes up approximately 30% of the proteins in our bodies. I love collagen. For aging it would take a year to truly help a lot and even then it's not going to do too much. ROC retinol intense wrinkle is the quickest thing that works and for the cost vs $200 creams it's amazing. If you have sensitive skin start with the sensitive because it takes time to adjust to retinol and some people can't tolerate the strongest one otc which is ROC. Vitamin C serum and Olay regenerist micro sculpting cream. $70 for everything and will last 3 months and it is totally worth it. It takes 10 years off. I also use aha and bha by Paula's choice but just use those weekly (great exfoliators). I've never had any cosmetic work and everyone thinks I'm a lot younger then I am. Give it 12 solid weeks. Beauty is money but it's worth it. I stopped using for 2 years because I had my son and trying to work and didn't put time and OMG it aged me. I started back and in 12 weeks all that was gone because I didn't wait too long. It looks like your main issues was crows feet when you smiled and hyper pigmentation. Totally reversible at your age. ❤

@Feathered Friends I use the ROC deep wrinkle repair serum. Check amazon. I also use the Olay regenerist micro sculpting cream on top of the serum. Both work very well. Give it time to work and use 1-2x a day. Good luck :) I just ordered more of my skincare. Amazon has buy one get one half off on the olay right now.

I have tried Probase Sports Nutrition Collagen Peptides Powder three months ago and it has changed my life. My nails, hair, and skin are healthier and stronger. My nails don't break anymore as they used to and my skin is close to perfect. This brand is less expensive than 99% of other products I have tried and the quality is superior. Dissolves into pretty much everything and it doesn't leave any nasty aftertaste or residue. I am honestly blown away with this collagen supplement.

Its much better to consume collagen from food. Boiling bones to make broth is the easiest and cheapest ways. Beef bones for skin and hair and chicken bones for joints. Eggs and salmon also contain collagen. These are good to add extra in where you can. :)

Exactly. Whole food sources work a lot better than supplements like collagen peptides. Bones are cheap, bone in meats are cheap, an Instant Pot is cheap. Throw it all in there!

That is true, but for people like me who don’t eat meat that would be difficult. (I am a lacto-ovo and will eat stuff with eggs in it, but I seldom eat eggs alone) I like the convenience of putting collagen peptides in my coffee. It doesn’t taste like meat (I know it is made from beef, I am ok with that) and I don’t have to deal with boiling bones which would surely make me hurl. FYI...there are less expensive alternatives to this brand.
@michellecarter5326

Consuming foods is always better than supplements of course. But who wants (or has the time) to boil bones all day? Add in all that time and $ purchasing meat, preperation, cooking, storing, and the extra fat involved. Not practical for working individuals with jobs, kids, and fitness plans!

As a guy with babyface genetics i started getting forehead lines and grey hairs a couple years ago (im turning 27 in a few days) due to stress, this supplement combined with microneedling once a week, tsubaki oil, and retinol has drastically reduced my forehead lines and is currently almost entirely reversed. I noticed my hair is better texture wise and i think i see more new hair on my hairline, ive been taking finasteride for 6 months, will be starting dutasteride soon for my hair loss and dut also tackles type 1 5a reductase found in the skin, dht has been implicated to accelerate aging and cause collagen to decrease more than it would leading to more eczema or psoriasis flareups compared to simple testosterone. Ive also noticed my hair is slightly darker and most of my (very few) grey hairs are now more blonde.

Well I can tell you for free that vital proteins with the hyaluronic acid (strawberry lemonade to be more specific) has done DAMN wonders for my hair my skin and my nails my hair is longer and fuller at the roots (my hair would thin easily I'm biracial so I have thinning roots and my hair is thicker at the bottom) also improved elasticity for my hair and skin my hair doesn't kink up nearly as much also my skin is GLOWING also my cellulite has decreased quite a bit after a couple of weeks (but I was also doing military workouts drinking close to or around a gallon of filtered water a day and eating cleaner more so paleoesque) I sleep for at least 6 hours at night ANOTHER THING is they have recently improved their formula it tastes better also mixes better too and although almost 2 oz less you now get 3 more grams per serving LASTLY drink at least 6 servings of it every day you will see results faster..

Even if people don't want to believe her because she was sponsored doesn't mean people have to be so rude about it. And just because someone was paid to advertise something doesn't automatically make the product bad or the reviewer unbelievable. Every product has someone advertising for it. Does that mean that every product out there is a bad product just because it has some paid sponsors? I think people should do more research on the product before they come on here and knock this video down. If you don't believe her, fine. But don't come on here writing nasty comments influencing other people thoughts on the video and product. Sometimes I just can't believe how horribly rude and awful youtube viewers are in their comments.

Sarah - how old are you - obviously closer to 30 then 60 ..... at your age i was not concerned with wrinkles, but lines such as yours were surfacing - an obvious sign of character /laughing/anger/sadness etc - something we all experience. We are not mimes and not too many go around with a straight and unemotional face. You do look great so do keep up the good work. I have been using the collagen peptides (not the brand you are promoting though) for 3 weeks. I have noticed a huge difference with my nails/hair and am now starting to notice some improvement in my face/neck area. I love collagen powder in my coffee or other drinks - the directions on the collagen i use is 13Grams/day, and it seems this is the amount you put in one drink - can one OD on collagen or can one realistically replace 30 years of collagen loss in 3 months ... i am hoping collagen will improve the state of my skin/hair/nails and any future joint issue, but may still consider other modalities with face lift being the very last resort.

By the time 5 months went by I no longer had them whatsoever. My hair is getting longer faster and again this is the only thing I’ve changed was adding a collagen powder to my daily life routine. I also noticed my body wasn’t as sluggish after a straight month of taking them. My cellulite reduced greatly by 50 percent in 5 months and I did not change my eating habits. My skin also looked more hydrated and about a 50 percent reduction in acne. I say give collagen a try!

So I started doing research on the best brands . Every review of the best 10 collagen peptide always included Vital Proteins in the top 10. Bullet Proof also comes up often. Both are from grass fed cow skins. There are also collagen powders from fish skin/scales for those not comfortable with beef products. I like Garden of Life products so that will be my choice for now.

Hey there! It's easy to fixate on topical skincare products only when it comes to our skin. While topical care is certainly recommended for healthy, glass-like skin, nutrition is an equally important part of skincare. Hydrolyzed collagen supplements are a great addition to a nutrient-packed diet. Collagen is one of the main components of the skin, and has been found to strengthen its structure, promote elasticity, vitality, and hydration. Collagen also plays a significant role in prevention of premature skin aging, and it helps to manage the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, visible signs of aging.

marijo1013 I use the country life maxi-collagen powder. It's between $10-15 dollars. You can get this at any local health food store. I've been using this for awhile now and have noticed a difference in my skin. The biggest thing I noticed is my skin looks much brighter and my acne scars fade much quicker. I work at a health food store and I recommend this stuff to people all the time. The women swear by it! All the women we sell this too look great! The rep that came into our store told me it comes from European cow Hyde. So it's great for hair, skin, nails and joints!!

You looked younger before, no pun intended. Maybe because you had your hair pulled back and no makeup. You are a beautiful woman, don't spend too much time worrying about aging. It will happen to all of us. Just be your best! Whoever pointed out wrinkles to you, are envious for some reason.

Thinking of starting collagen in the meantime for a little jumpstart. Would love some insight before I spend more $ online shopping!

Don't forget that vitamin deficiencies are common and we are deficient in Iodine, Magnesium and Selenium as recommended to take often by top Dr Sircus who has a good website and is on KZbin. Magnesium is low in the soil and we gain this from veg but we are so low that we are all deficient. Selenium is vital for healthy cells and prevents cancer up to 50% and selenium too. Iodine is reduced by fluoride in water and toothpaste and plastics reduce this too! Many are low in Vit D in the UK. Zinc is one that doesn't get picked up in blood tests and you can purchase Zincatest that is based on how it tastes as when you are deficient we lose sense of smell and taste. Also, there are so many chemicals in everyday products that add to cancer and aging so always use paraben-free products like Herbal Essence shampoo etc. Also, remove gluten from your diet and watch videos as to why this stuff is wrecking people's health and not just celiacs, we cannot breakdown proteins in grains and they sit undigested and cause inflammation and illness too and that's going to age you also! Dr Willaim Davis has done the research and tests into this and you can watch his videos on KZbin! I had Undiagnosed Hypothyroidism for 20 years and need collagen as my skin has aged bad!

How has your digestion been? After taking great lakes collagen hydrolysate for a bit (1 TB a day), I was getting constipated. I only took it for 3 weeks before I stopped but that was the only thing I'd changed in my diet. Did wonders for my skin though haha
@SarahsFabChannel
@SarahsFabChannel 7 жыл бұрын
So I have had zero digestion problems since taking it. I know not all brands are created equal as they have different sources and different ingredients. That being said, I didn't notice a huge improvement but I definitely didn't have any problems during my "experiment" - I've been pretty lucky in the digestion department honestly for like a year now which I kind of credit with an emphasis on just eating real foods and not trying to eat "light" foods or low calories alternatives

I should note that means I ate more fat with my veggies like more olive oil, more butter, more dressing, fats help your body digest nutrients in hard to digest foods like lettuces and veggies.

The two picture comparison is highly deceptive. The first picture (before) shows her practically squinting in order to accentuate the lines around her eyes. The second picture (after) is an entirely different smile where she is no longer squinting in order to show fewer wrinkles and therefore deceive the viewer into buying this product.
