I think the 60-70 leveling portion was intended to incorporate killing raid bosses, lfr and normal gives lots of xp per boss. On the wowhead page there was an intended content roadmap for remix specifically so that might be why you're experiencing this xp decrease around that level.

My all time favorite xpac for story and leveling experience. I just love the old school "stranger in a strange land" fantasy rpg vibe. I still level all my alts timewalking there. I plane on diving in and making a few alts just for the affection i have for it. I also have a buddy the only got into the game with dragonflight and for him to experience the xpac 10-70 with me sounds fun also.

@@heythereguysitsMetro the only sources ive found, and yes it just gives it to u. but its dropped at your gear level so i dont think we should do it til at least 70. i've seen much lower level ones from cheesers.

Its really really fun even if the characters never do anything afterwards like plunderstorm. I really think anyone who enjoys the core formula of WOW will love it.

you mentioned today was the last day, I'm just hearing about this mode. Are you doing a ptr version, or when would everyone get a chance? Also, what happens to your char once they are 70? Such as in Chromie time you get sent out of that mode at 60?

Ya it's just ptr testing. Nothing happens at 70 specifically. But eventually the characters will get merged back to the regular realm characters when the event ends.

Regarding some of the abilities you saw that you can get, were there any similar to Torghast powers, or are they just normal abilities from other classes?

The only actual class abilities you can get are the speed/utility stuff. Everything else is just new stuff made for the mode specifically. Nothing to do with class spells or anything like that.

was a blast to just slot every proc rune I found into my gear and smoke the dps in dungeons with my resto shaman... every time I started spamming chain lightning the screen exploded into a storm of fire and ice! 😁

I gave Remix a try late afternoon on the last day, and was almost instantly hooked. I made a priest, and only managed to quest for the first 4 levels (too many places with low drop rates, and huge competition for scarce quest mobs), then switched to holy, and healed dungeons/scenarios not quite all the way to 60 (switched to Disc once I got the gearing figured out). I didn't hit 70 only because the servers shut down Sunday night. I think the most important part of this Remix is Blizzard seems to finally understand that the leveling experience, especially for new players, is simply terrible. It's been painful watching Blizz actively discourage new players from joining WoW, and it's absolutely amazing to see Blizz have any level of self awareness - TY MS.

It's also really nice to see such a complete experience start to finish. There is too much of "level now, end game after" but remix hits both perfect. Being able to do raids to level is wild.

Brother Metro! here is a thought blizz used the term "accelerated" in their press releases on Panda remix. Accelerated SHOULD be about ten hours total to max level. that would make sense. I'm hoping blizz can deliver here im looking forward to panda remix myself. should be good content to explore. Stay say brother metro youre a good guy. Keep posting content for us! looking forward to war within for reals.

@@heythereguysitsMetro Yeah metro they are releasing content at a much more accelerated rate. Its interesting to see them do this. I'm looking forward to warbands a LOT. but yeah accelerated should be roughly ten hours significantly faster than live atm is. Either way metro stay safe bro! ill keep observing your content from the darkness heheh.

i feel like the quests not granting much exp at 60 beyond is unintentional. maybe its using the same code as retail when you hit 60 all exp outside of DF content plummets

Ya I think its probably that. But there is a chance in my mind that blizzard does want people to actually branch out and do the raids etc.

ive played wow for its entirety but only have a main. never do alts. So does it make sense to re-roll my main for this or is it a waste and Ill need to do an alt?

It's basically just for fun. Play the spec that you would enjoy the most

Of course if you do a quest to kill 2 mobs, that's more experience! :)! I plan to level 1 troll monk for the set and continue with my already 70 characters!

Oh ya? Do you normally have issues with PTRs on mac? Never used one, so not sure myself.

@@heythereguysitsMetro no it usually works fine. That said my Mac has 128G of RAM and sometimes that causes issues with games that work fine if you have less.

I think 14+ hours is good, if anything id prefer more, esp if the “experience” is to level. In DF i dont actually care as the game is much about the endgame, but it feels like this isnt. So, im super excited, i loved MOP when it came out, sounds like this will be a lot of fun, hope they wont truncate

i kinda fear that with remix ppl will get a false assumption of speccs that they level and then be disappointed. like i always like to play my dk ever once in a while but after a while i feel like i am missing movment buttons to have as much fun as for exampe on my warrior jumping around. now i lvl a dk in remix i build it to be super fun by adding movement and then...pooof, idk how better to describe it but yeah

@@heythereguysitsMetro as I understand it there's a cloak which you can power up so that your subsequent characters become more powerful. That way it can be slower paced for everyone, and then those who want to rush through with as many characters as they can are free to do so, while those who don't want to do that are uneffected.

I quit in MoP because I was ally on a PVP server that was dominated by Horde (the shift was gradual as it was even in classic then every x-pac more horde). I was either getting farmed by 5 people for Honor or just being killed so I couldn't compete for quest items and spent most of the time avoiding other players. It wasn't fun so the mere mention of MoP makes me not want to play it but it looks like the three people that got me back into the game are going so, here's to hoping it is better this time round.

Obviously its not going to included forced pvp so ya going to be better by default from that.

Speed leveling on retail is something like 6 hours or less (depending on the holiday/DMF). So it seems like the MoP remix could have at least approached that, maybe something like 8 hours to 70. Otherwise, I'm not seeing the point beyond enjoyment of MoP and the remix aspect.

Well like I said I matched my times. I'm sure the speedrunners might have done the same but there just might not be that much to maximize. Worth noting though, I just tested an alt with the 343% exp cloak and it took me less than three hours to get to 60. Felt way too fast for my liking. But does seem like alts will be way different.

I don't think the 60-70 reducing so severely, XP wise, is intentional. I think it is a holdover from chromietime where once you hit the previous expansion level cap it starts to decay. I would expect when this goes live for that to be fixed. Also third charge of roll awww yeah. You know how i went so far as to take a completely useless talent just to get a third roll charge you can bet if i have the chance to add one through my boots i'm gonna take it. 😂 Personally I plan to level several characters through this when it goes live and probably even do a charity levelling challenge my first time through it if i can figure out how to make it interesting and last about 24 hours without group content. Maybe i should level a pally shaman or rogue to keep me on my toes ha ha ha. I still have no actual concept of how gearing or qll this gem stuff works so I'll definitely be e rewatching your stream and VoDs of leveling sometime this week. Thanks for the tldr, I tend to agree with you on all of it. MoP leveling ftw! (Although i kind of love those quests you hate but only for story reasons, mechanically I find them tiresome.)

That was my first thought too for sure. It was just strange that the exp actually went back up as I leveled unlike what happened when I leveled in Chromie time.

Ya that's just not a healthy thing in my eyes. You'd be gaining like two levels every quest, and just end up max level farming anyway.

I liked MOP, but I distinctly remember that people hated it when it was current. It was mocked as pandaland, world of dailycraft, mists of grinderia. I do wish they would do something like this for WOD, though. Might be a good way to make use of WOD's limited content.

Ya I remember the same. Our guild master quit the game entirely over it at the time. He refused to play on the setting. I personally always loved it. Wod I don't think I would look forward to at all but realistically any of the settings would be great for this. It's all about the gear first and foremost. The thing about pandaria that makes it great though is the amount of content that's there. No other expansion has that width.
