Now I’m going to drive down road and let the wind take care of the trailer full of leaves😂😂😂😂

You would defined get done 3 times as fast if run over and mulch your leaf pile. I have this same setup on a toro 5000 series zmaster zero turn. I can fit twice as much inside the container and destroy huge piles of leaves just by making a few passes with mulch blades first then turning on the vac.
@wheelie642 Жыл бұрын
It’s so much better to mulch the leaves before vacuuming. They won’t clog the chute.

We have a new attachment that goes on the mower and I will have an update video soon!
@bowlinglefty11 ай бұрын
The Agrifab comes with an adapter that attaches to your mower deck and attaches a larger diameter hose that takes the mulched up leaves from the mower deck and allows the Agrifab to suck them up into the grinder and get blown into the trailer. The larger hose hardly ever plugs up unless the trailer gets overfilled or the leaves are wet. I think you would get done faster and easier if you used a lawnmower setup and drove over the leaves instead of the hand held hose. I have the hand held hose attachment and only use it near buildings, trees, window wells, etc.

Just picked up a 2017 in great condition on marketplace for 500. I found just placing the hose on the ground and raking the pile towards it is the quickest for me and least chance of clogs. It loosens up the pile before the suction and you dont have to worry about the length of your hose not reaching far enough. Also easier on the back holding the lighter weight rake. Grab yourself some of the green 60gal Landscape Barrels to dump your leaves right into and a little cover for the barrel so you can keep your leave situation much cleaner and ready to dump. If you pull the agri fab all the way to the front of your trailer and put the barrel on the ground between your truck and trailer you can rake the leaves out into the barrel sitting below easily.

That looks like a 6" hose. I swapped mine to a 8" hose and it made a big difference! Honestly, I use my garden tractor to mulch most of the leaves, but the vac is great for getting close to the stone walls.

I have been plagued with nothing but problems with my Agri-Fab Chip-n-Vac since the day I ordered it. Personal use on my 2.5acre property. -7 weeks to get it delivered -multiple poor fitment areas, chute to the box, etc -1st engine failure happened at 4 hours (under warranty), 2nd engine failed at 13 hours (outside warranty) -dump latch metal split, had to add a piece of angle iron with my Welder I've contacted the manufacturer several times to no avail. As a side note, my model doesn't have the safety start preventer yours has, which perhaps is a new feature. Thanks for the video, it definitely has kinks that need to be addressed.

Instead of buying the hose accessory. If you just buy a 20 foot 6 inch diameter hose. It works out way better. Just use the hose. That come with the Mower deck.
@chuckgilbert2035 Жыл бұрын
I use a 6" hose. The wand is 5" . I may expand the metal end to keep the clogging from happening.

Take a few minutes to chew them up with the mower first and they’ll suck up better.
@zachdavis2641 Жыл бұрын
It’s definitely suppose to suck up shredded leaves that’s already process by a mower. You need a debris loader for this instance here. Curious to see it operate off a commercial mower. I bought a unit that’s used but minimal hours off of fb marketplace for $380. Intake valve was stuck open. Easy fix. Oil still looked new. I’m going to somehow rig to my pro stance or Worldlawn venom. I mainly purchased for my 2 acre wooded lot. Wont use it too much for my biz.

Wow you got a great deal on that unit for sure! I have the piece that connects to my zero turn now and I plan to install it soon and test it. I will film it all and upload it! Awesome comment and thanks for watching!

Mine works really well with hardly ever a clog unless I run over bigger sticks,but I pull mine behind a JD rider mower with gator blades that dice them up first pretty good and you won't have to empty trailer near as often either. Factory hose is junk, just need to upgrade to hd hose, my deck adapter had a big dead air space in the front which would build up with leaves and break loose and clog but i filled it in with blocks of wood bolted in to smooth air flow and no more clogs ever even when wet.

keep an eye on the axel and the wheel bushings. even replacing them with bearings every yeaqr doesn't help when you're doing 25-50 acre properties the wheels fall off and the axels bust.

i had bought one from sears craftsman 16 years ago my came with two hoses the one you got which is about 4-6 inch and the other one is 8-10 inch hose which is what i use and then rake the leaf's into it and im still using it. get a big hose and yes it came with a bigger manifold attachment. its acttaly the hose to the lawn morrow that i use

Do you have any idea the size of the engine needed to be able to successfully suck up anything through a hose larger than 5” diameter? You are talking about a very large, powerful and expensive unit!

Ive got this very problem at my new (to me) townhome. It was built in the 1960s and it looks like it went unoccupied for 3 or 4 years. The lawn is covered with layers (seasons) of leaves and sticks that are clumped into a mass. Its like trying to peel the peanut butter off of the bread after its been spread on with a knife.

@kr52892 жыл бұрын
you need it hooked to a mower I have one just like that and I could run across those leaves in no time, and it mulches them, and you get lot more in your trailer. I bought a tractor type cub to keep hooked up all time. didn't want to use my ZTR

i bought this model a few years ago used it once and it sat in a shed for 2 years and a mouse chewed through the white cord coming off of the impeller. i for the life of me cant find the other end or where it goes if i was to buy a new adaptor. Google youtube and facebook groups have been 0 help . Anyway you or anyone reading this be able to show me at least a general area where its going to or point me to somewhere other then the parts diagrams that show nothing. I would appreciate it so much

they are cheapos, mine plugs up andits hooked to mower. may try raising deck to leave sticks dust is very bad where grass is thin.
@NeilLB72 жыл бұрын
I don't believe the chipper side of the flywheel does anything on the leaf suction side. The chipper for sticks is the back of the flywheel. The leaf side is just air paddles that create the vacuum. It's really designed to vacuum up things that have been mowed up. The vacuum is for a few leaves here or there...not huge piles like you're doing. My opinion. I have the chip n vac 8HP model.

I have the same leaf vac, and the trailer packs so full of leaves it’s a pain to dump it. You have to shovel/rake them out, and tilting it does nothing. Anyone come up with a hack to get the leaves out easy?

It’s been my experience mowing the leaves with the leaf vac will help illuminate some clogging. The DR leaf vac has an 8 inc hose will work a lot better however it has other issues. I had one, company was kind enough to take it back. I could not overcome those issues.

@josephshaffer65212 жыл бұрын
@@dh4094 plenty, in my opinion are engineering problems. I see on Utube lots of folks make adjustments here and there to improve the vac. I am referring to a major problem and I don’t see anyone pointing this out.

I have one. Stupid design. Engineer that designed it should be fired. Only good thing about is how easy it is to start. Blows way too much dust out the back when hooked to my zero turn. Clouds the whole neighborhood. You could have bagged those in half the time with 3 of ya. Have you found a solution for the epic dust cloud they put out ?
