My Thoughts on the Sonic Screwdriver (Doctor Who 60th Anniversary)

The NEW Fourteenth Doctor Sonic Screwdriver was just unveiled and here are my raw, unfiltered thoughts!
I think it's okay. Probably my least favourite from the modern era but I'll reserve judgement and wait to see it in action. The 13th Doctor's has a better colour scheme in my opinion and looks more comfortable to hold but there are some neat design choices in here as well.
It looks like a mix between the 10th and 11th Doctors or an updated, modernised version of the 10th Doctors.

These are photos of the sonic in its extended mode. The switch can be moved up and down like the 9/10th Doctors sonic. In closed mode the prongs close inward and the head collapses in. I personally think this is an absolutely fantastic design. It’s like a combination of the war, 9/10th, 11th and 12th Doctor sonics with a hint of the masters Laser Screwdriver. I really can’t wait to pick this up it looks amazing. Xx

I saw a video this morning of the toy version and I personally like it too. It does seem like a hybrid of all the new who designs even a bit of the War Doctors which is cool

Hear me out, this would've been the peakest of the peak if they got rid of the weird claw things on the side and put a classic-style emitter ring at the end, maybe with the LED in the center.

lowkey i hope this is just the 14th doctor's and not 15's, since its based so heavily off 10's. like ncuti gatwa better get his own shit and not other doctors' hand-me-downs
