I like the Radichetta(cerbiata) variety for loose leaf(oak leaf type, looks a lot like dandelion) and the Maravilla de verano for batavia type.

I love Muir. I sell it at the farmers market as "sandwich lettuce" and it flies off the table. But Salanova is the king, I can't grow enough to satisfy the demand.

Sarragossa is my favorite variety in the garden but I've been growing Vulcan in my house overwinter and it holds well without bolting and is great in salads! We love the red leaf varieties here. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for sharing! My new favorite is Landis Winter lettuce. I received it as a freebie along with my order from Baker Creek, and decided to give it a try this season. So far it's growth is outperforming the others. I'm currently growing indoors on the windowsills, and out windows are quite chilly, so I'm confident that this new variety would do well outdoors as well.

@@NeversinkFarm Based on the experience we had done before, the first problem we met was lettuce did not sprout in summer. On the other hand , growing lettuce in summer is easy to bloom, I am wondering if it is possible growing lettuce in shady area in summer?
