Vasili my friend, I’ve been using aloe Vera smoothies in the garden this year and the two 40 degrees days didn’t even bother the spinach. The tomatoes are so strong and resistant to EVERYTHING , bugs, slugs, heat. Rapt with the results, organic no panic

Please tell what is in your Aloe Vera smoothie, please///
@alde161113 күн бұрын
@ just Aloe Vera leaves and enough water to make a smoothie in the blender, then use that watered down. About 1 to 10. I don’t think it matters too much I’ve started using it super concentrated and it causes no problems.

It’s going to be my first time growing tomatoes this year and I can’t wait! I am going to attempt to start seedling indoors first. Will see how that goes 😂 ❤🌱

Im in Perth and now grow my tomatoes in summer underneath 50 percent shadecloth, otherwise they get wiped out, we had 44 and then a 42 day last week. It was like a furnace. But also it takes so much to buildup the soil here, its basically sand to start with..

I am in Perth too, so sad how heartbreaking it can be to see ones veggies suffer! I am in Roleystone, sand that repels water - and no matter how much I spend every on compost, manure, mulch and that expensive soil from Green Life Soil company every year, it disappears all too soon. The only veggies that flourish here at moment, are zucchini and eggplants, and tomatoes as you say in half shade! I weep every night returning from my veggie patch, deciding to give up until Autumn, and every day I try again. . .

@@elisemenne8758 I use free horse manure from the stable district in Belmont, I compost it first for about a month.

@@ian-f5f Thanks, Ian! Sounds like you have been working your soil up for years, now! I have been buying in sheep poo and hay to mulch as much as I can. Works out more expensive than I want! Plus I have oats coming up all over the place from the 'seed-free' hay!! Could you please share the name of the stable in Belmont where you get your manure from,? I am praying for this lovely weather to stay until autumn!

@@elisemenne8758 Hi , if you drive down Epsom ave in Ascot, the river side off Great eastern highway of (I still call it Belmont), the whole area there is the stable district, the manure is in bags out the front of the stables all over the suburb free for anyone to pick up, they generally leave it on pallets, plenty there, you will see the cccasional free sign but if you see it out the front in bags, its free. But I advise dont pick up the bags which arent tied, they are often fly struck. But plenty there and sometimes straw mixed in which makes good compost. I dont really have any problems with oats or anything from it. I generally pick up about a dozen bags at a time, they also appreciate it if you bring the bags back on your next visit. They want you to take it otherwise they have to pay someone to get rid of it.

@@ian-f5f THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! YOU ARE A STAR. PICKING UP SO MANY BAGS MAKES ME THINK YOU HAVE A LARGE VEGGIE PATCH? DO YOU SELL ANY RARE VEGGIE OR HERB PLANTS?

Whats the story about putting copper wire through the stem of tomato plant.Does it work or is it a myth?
@brucejensen308116 күн бұрын
Yeah you dont want to overhead water anything that can get mildew. I think watering in the middle of hot days, it freaks plants out too much. Maybe you need some clay or something in your beds to retain moisture. Like i would have thought those beds with established plants, you would have only needed to water then once this year. I have some grapes and things in tiny pots, that need planting out, i only gave them their first water just after new years. Been in the pots 8yrs and i dont "feed" them either

what makes cucumbers become bitter?
@gchev416 күн бұрын
Many stresses can cause bitter cucumbers. Stress from pest or bad soil or temperature swings and bad watering schedules can all cause this.
