Thank you for sharing this. I am going in for my tonsilectomy tomorrow, and while I'm still incredibly nervous, you gave me the confidence I needed that it's gonna be okay. I'm gonna try to copy what you did during the recovery :)

How it goes dude..is it painful?

@@rk1437. only on day 2 but I’m feeling pretty good overall. Just keeping up on my meds and drinking lots of cold water. Worst thing so far is the swelling. It can make it tough to breathe at night and I ended up choking a couple times (not badly). So it helped to sleep sitting upright.

In the uk were told to eat as normal as soon as you can, obviously nothing too hot or spicy or over seasoned. But pizza, toast, burgers, nuggets, etc is fine. I think that helped me because by day 4 i didnt have any pain swollowing. Were told here that it reduces you chances of bleeding from 20% to 1%
@madisonbmcinnis27 күн бұрын
Oh wow! Yes, I have definitely heard that it helps some people recover by still eating normal!

I wonder why they didn't prescribe you liquid pain killers instead of pills.
