@@basilofgoodwishes4138 I have to make note of the fact that their animals, sentient animals that can communicate sure but they still have gender differences. While the ratio of animals that procreate tend to be 1:1, certain INSECT species have a large disparity such as ants, termites and bees. I find Tamashii's reasoning for disliking Lopunny to be incredibly boring. Find a better reason then "IT'S BASED ON THE PLAYBOY BUNNY." Like, I'm happy she made it clear she had a biased opinion, but I'm still unhappy with how boring her reasoning was at the time.

To be honest. The first time I saw Lopunny I was surprised by its overly sexuality design. But then I thought about it and I realized something. Pokemon is meant to be a game for all ages. This includes children that may be younger than even 10 years old. So I knew GameFreak wouldn't do that on purpose. So I did some digging and eventually realized something. So I called my little brother over (He was 10) and asked him to do an impersonation of a rabbit. He instantly shot his arms up to his chest and stuck his butt out and hopped around. He'd also swing his arms in order to jump higher just like how Lopunny attacks in Battle Revolution. Now I get it! It's supposed to be a child's interpretation of a rabbit. It's abilities Cluts, Cute Charm and Limber apply better for small children than they do for adult females. I'm not judging Tamashii for having an opinion. I'm saying this in order for others to see that what GameFreaks intention with Lopunny might have been. I'm not saying this is fact, it's just what I believe that GameFreak was trying to represent.

I love Jynx and tbh people take her too seriously. She's not racist and she was never intended to be. Enough with all the "It has never been confirmed that...". She's based on the tanned Japanese girls. I've read it and heard it in many interviews. Making a big deal out of it (so far that they have to change her skin colour to purple of all colours) doesn't make them or Jynx the racists. It makes you the racist for pointing out the resemblance and going on and on about it. Pokémon likes to make the fun Pokémon as well as the cool Pokémon. Without fun Pokémon, there's no point in having a game.

You'd be completely right if she didn't do her research beforehand. If she'd approached the Pokémon without knowing what she was, then fair enough but she's a highly intelligent KZbinr who puts a lot of effort into her videos. It doesn't take much research to learn what Jynx is based off. Bulbapedia's a good start. :)

I love this list. I love most of the pokémon on it, but it's really refreshing to NOT see another list with the same 5-10 pokémon that everyone commonly hates, and it's awesome that the reasons for disliking each one isn't just "Look at its design eeeeeeeeeeew!". You actually have your own personal reasons. That's awesome. I'm totally cool with your list even though I love most of them myself. Good list!! Although I really don't agree with your reasons for Yanmega. You are focusing too much on your English language culture and upbringing. You see, of *all* the major languages in the world (English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, Arabic, Japanese and Chinese) English is the *only* language to refer to this insect as a "dragon•fly". The word for this insect in all other languages has absolutely nothing to do with a dragon. So while you would have been happy with your bug/dragon Yanmega, *EVERYONE* else in the world would have been wondering why the heck this is a dragon type Pokemon. While I completely understand and respect your own personal biases for all the other Pokemon on this list, you can't want a Pokemon to have a certain type simply based on the etymology of the word for the animal its based on in *one* language... it's just unreasonable =P

Not many of them make literal sense any way, so I don't understand this criticism. The major genus for dragonflies is Libellulidae which most likely is derived from the Latin word "libella" meaning booklet. Being a book pokemon would make far less sense!

Lopunny's Cute Charm ability is rather useful for finding Pokemon of a certain gender (it makes opposite-gender Pokemon more likely to appear), and its above-average speed makes it easier to run from Pokemon after encountering them. Klutz is mainly useful in situations where an opponent uses Trick or Bestow to give it a harmful item like a Toxic Orb.

I cannot stand Muk or Grimer, when I was little I thought they were so gross. I hated the evil expression Grimer gave you, or how Muk just looked like it was going to eat your family. I'll never understand how most people take opinion videos so damn seriously. It's not like Tamashii said that her opinion is law and everyone else is wrong. Klefki is based off of a Japanese mythological creature that steals small and/or shiny objects. Stunfisk is the insole of a shoe that makes a raspberry when you send it out. Plus, it's sort of a let down: Electric+Ground? Cool. Trap switch Pokémon? Almost ninja. Dr. Scholls orthotic that makes the "blow air through closed lips" noise? ...Let's just say Don't worry Voltorb, your job security as trap Pokémon is pretty strong, unless Foongus and co get popular.

Well I hate Golbat! From the bottom of my heart. Crappy design, just a huge mouth on wigns, it makes an annoying cry, and the name is stupid. What the hell does Gol- even mean? Gol-bat. Wtf? Not to mention that it never lets you escape in wild battle. Youre trying to navigate in a cave, then you encounter a wild Golbat. -Can't escape -Confuse Ray -Bite (flinched) -Air cutter (high crit chance, powerful enough to faint your pokemon) Golbat sucks and every time I see one it makes me want to smash him with a hammer!

I never liked any of the fossil pokemon. Up until x and Y, it was always so out of the way to get the fossils and a pain to train up to be on your team. This is extremely prevelent in gen 1 where you cant purify your fossil until the 7th gym and your team is around mid 40s at that point and you get the fossil at lvl 20. No fossils in gen 2 In gen 3 you can get the fossils after the 4th gym, but both anorith and lileap have such terrible moves that they arent worth training up. In gen 4 you wait until you get to the 3rd or 4th gym to get the explorer kit, which you use to go underground to actually dig up the fossils. They were always too big and you had a certain amount of strikes with the pickaxe before the wall falls and it's gone forever.

I agree with the Lopunny explanation but when I first played Diamond one of my first pokemon was a shiny Buneary and I instantly fell in love with it! It was so cute a fluffy and pink that even when it evolved I ignored the sexual features and still saw it as my precious!

I actually really like Lopunny's design. Sure, it's sexualized a bit, but so what? So are Machoke and Machamp. Besides, Lopunny was always sort of regal looking to me, and I thought t was sort of pretty. I don't really think it's sexist at all, even if it is a bit sexualized. It's not shown in a negative light or anything. It just sort of looks like it was meant to be appealing, but Machamp and Machoke do the same. If one is sexist, they all are. If one isn't, they all aren't. I'm really starting to hate this double standard. Sorry, but this video has probably earned my dislike, not only for the double standard, but for bad reasoning as well.

I remember that stupid trade feature in Emerald. In the 2006 mew event in Toys R Us I tried getting mew on my emerald but I couldn't because I hadn't beaten the elite 4. I was only around 7 or 8 years old and didn't fully understand how to beat the champion so I missed out on that Mew and it made me so upset.

I do understand the dissappointment for Yanmega not being dragon, but to be honest, if it was dragon, many would question it, as it is called other things in other languages, and therefore would be a bug without any connection to dragon whatsoever. In danish (Translated to english) It's called a Gold smith - That doesn't make it a steel type :3

This exactly. The Japanese word for dragonfly has NOTHING TO DO WITH the Japanese word for dragon. In Japan it’s called “victory bug”. Thus, I don’t really expect them to make that “dragon-fly” connection, especially because English proficiency in Japan isn’t very high.
