Nice video, thank you for sharing this! Your channel is pure gold because is very specific and rare topics in KZbin. RX standard is pretty expensive and I guess that there isn't good cheaper alternative. Do you think it's a must have above all other plugins you showed for someone who want make sound librairies ?
@daviddumaisaudio3 жыл бұрын
Hi. No, I don’t think it’s a must have, at least not the standard version. The elements version, I would probably say so, but it depends on if you are recording your own sounds or not. If you are, I would recommend starting with the elements version. On sale you can get it for $35. A good and less expensive alternative is Spectral Layers by Steinberg: www.daviddumaisaudio.com/spectral-layers I’ve never actually used it, but seems to be just as powerful as RX. Hope this helps. Thanks for your question.
@davidhellegouarch16223 жыл бұрын
@@daviddumaisaudio Thank you for your detailed response! In RX elements there is only the "voice de-noiser" not spectral denoiser. Do you know if the voice denoiser works decently good with foleys and ambiances ? Have you tried the Bertom Denoiser ?
@daviddumaisaudio3 жыл бұрын
@@davidhellegouarch1622 I think the voice de-noiser works decently for foley and ambiance. That’s what I used when I got started. I’ve actually never heard of the Bertom Denoiser. I’ll have to look it up.

How do you think the TRAVELER (Tonsturm) that is doppler effect plugin now on 40% I'm thinking about it. Is it necessary?
@daviddumaisaudio3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t say it’s necessary. It is a nice plugin though and you can get a lot out of it, but it is specialized. There are others I would get first before considering this one. Just depends on what you have, what you need, and the types of projects you work on.

I've been looking for a DAW that supports a MIDI and third-party plugins. MPC Beats app that comes with my akai keyboard is very user-friendly and fun to use but doesn't support third-party plugins, unfortunately. Is Cubase my best option? It looks much more complex than what I need it for. Becoming a sound expert is not my goal.😓

What is your goal? Have you ever checked out reaper? www.daviddumaisaudio.com/reaper-daw
@Cola-422 жыл бұрын
@David Dumais Audio I just spent like 15 mins trying it out. Just wow, the UI is really simple and awesome. I was able to add decent sampler, record, and export. I give it a 10, one of the fastest apps that gave me results right away. You just saved me a lot of time.👊 Time to buy it and have fun being creative in my free time.😂
