I just thought about this, wouldnt one of those new Zamperla Big Wave rides look great as a replacement to the Giant Wheel? It's both a water and flat ride attraction and would fit with the Lakeside Boardwalk theme. Thoughts ?

So I'm interested in why you don't like mind eraser. I got to ride second car back and loved the hang time before the drop. Viper is my favorite coaster to ride in front seat of. Boomerang is not my fave because I don't like the backwards part. Can't wait till I can ride tantrum (for the first time), ride of steel, and a few others again. What are your thoughts on water atrractions?

I’m not a fan of Mind Eraser because of the head banging. I like Shipwreck falls but I’m not a fan of getting wet

@@amusementscape fair enough. I find if you grip the handles on the restraint bars a bit differently your head doesn't bang around so much, but it does put some strain on your arms to grip that way.

I'd remove it FOR something better otherwise getting rid of it doesn't get you anything... SFA removed a row from theirs and I think it reduced the shuffle substantially. Watch yours and see. Before that it seemed that it went back and forth side to side boing boing boing almost as fast as it was moving forward by the end of the course. These are both parks where, like the vid says, the top couple of attractions are easy to choose, not so much everything else, and, though a mixed bag, it IS a major coaster.

After watching here’s my comments. Predator gets too much hate from everyone. It’s a good layout and can be very rough sometimes but over all I make sure to ride every time. Mind Eraser I can absolutely do without. Maybe new trains and a new paint job could spice that ride back up. I haven’t ridden the Larson Looper yet so I’ll have to give it a try, I was a big fan of Ranger back in the day so maybe I’ll like it. I’m surprised Viper is so low. I count it as the 3rd beat coaster in the park and a really good Arrow looper compared to a lot of the other ones still out there. I think this park needs 2-3 more thrilling flat rides. If they were to add zamperlas giant discovery, air race, and maybe a S&S scream and swing it could do wonders and wouldnt cost a lot. I think if they added 1 of each of these over the next 3 years before investing in a major coaster that could be awesome.

@@godisg1 u mean like it was down often? if so, it was, the only year i was able to ride it was 2018, i went to the park about 20 times that year, and twister was open only like 4 of the times, but i made sure to marathon it when it was open, and yeah it makes sense why they removed it cuz it was so unreliable with all of the complex hydraulics and everything, but it was an insane ride and my favorite flat ride of all time

@@godisg1 unfortunately ranger closed the year before i was tall enough to ride it, which sucked cuz it looked like a rly good ride, that amount of hangtime with a lap bar just looked insane, in the 2000's darien lake seriously had one of the best flat ride lineups out there in twister, ranger, UFO and silver bullet, its sad that only one of those rides is still there and that ride is on its last leg

I went to Darien Lake Six Flags several years ago for Kingdom Bound, which is a christian music festival at the park itself. The last day of the festival, there were barely any ride lines. Me and my church youth group rode Ride of Steel 6 times in a row before we left the park. Easily my favorite roller coaster!!!
