I feel like I say this every video but Tia is 100% right. Tia, you've made my life so easy. I'm no longer pouring hours into meal prep. You have to set yourself up for success. I'm 40 lbs down. Halfway to my goal. I'm at a plateau but I'm adjusting and I'll get through it. But stress reduction is vital to weight loss. And if you lessen the stress in the kitchen, life will be so much easier. Since I started cooking like Tia suggests, I no longer look in the pantry and wonder what I'm going to cook. I just grab my stuff and put it together. Family is fed in less than 30 min. Frozen rice. Precooked potatoes. Frozen veggies. Canned beans. Sauces and seasonings. Boom!!! Game Changer yall!!!!!!

I agree with the frozen rice! Make a bunch in my rice cooker and freeze individually in one cup servings. Also love potatoes and bananas. So filling. The vegetable broth definitely helps with oil free cooking. I used to cook almost everything in oil. Such a game changer when that was removed! Thanks for continuing to think of recipes and foods that support WFPB no oil cooking:)

I’m sure you’re speaking all of our stories, during the switch over. Time spent on Pinterest searching recipes and yet it really is simplified by knowing simple rice, potatoes and veggies with a few spices or salads and simple sauces bring us such awesome meals.

Great advice for nutrition and weight loss! So many people eat foods that are healthy but not necessarily good for losing weight. This video does both and also keeps it simple enough that anyone can do it. Only one suggestion and that is that these recommendations do not need to completely replace the diet you have ... just eat these first and try and fill up on these dishes. You'll eat much less of the high calorie dense food.

I am always so busy I chop my kale, lettuce wash them wash my spring mix and other leafy veggies then spin dry them in a big container I mix them together for diversity and store them in a reusable ziploc bag and they last 3 weeks. Rice, quinoa, couscous I cook and freeze. D rest of my meals r canned beans, pre-made dressings, fruits and other things that does not need cooking. Don't freeze my pasta I just make a batch for the week. During the week I don't cook, don't have the time. This makes eating healthier super easy. My potatoes I cook, I dont freeze just pop in microwave with a cup of water and it's like u just cooked them. All beans am using for the week is out the can, rinsed and stored in a mason jar. So for the gals with no time or just too lazy u can definately live this lifestyle stress and worry free.

Haven't transitioned to WFPB but trying very hard to add veggies to my life which I've lost my taste for, and not eating red meat. The way I get a ton of veggies in my diet is I cook any and everything in one big pot of broth. Cabbage, spinach, carrots, sweet or regular potatoes, onion, broccoli etc, as well as beans and whatever spices you like. Then I use my immersion blender and wallah you've got a great tasty sauce to put on everything. I keep containers in the freezer. For my water which I really dont like I always add stevia, but lately I've been brewing a pitcher of green tea and adding the juice of orange, lemon and cukes. Strain the cucumber juice. Really tasty with Stevia.

I also throw potatoes, asparagus and broccoli in the steamer first thing while making morning juice and smoothie. That way I have stuff ready for lunch (I'll make fries, potato waffles or tater tots in the toaster oven! Nutrirional Yeast is MSG though. If you need to use it for a bit, fine, but not a health food per Anthony William.

Awesome, thanks for being here! The msg in nutritional yeast is naturally occurring, not synthetic and added to it. MSG occurs naturally in many foods, such as tomatoes and cheeses. People around the world have eaten glutamate-rich foods throughout history.
@Juicing3693 жыл бұрын
@@HealthyVeganMama Love your channel and positive message. I am detoxing from protein based to plant based and years of excess MSG and sodium. Found you looking for ideas. Wanted to make you aware @ MSG as the info is well hidden. Naturally occurring glutamine acid is no worry. The additive used in tens of thousands of products builds up deep into the brain tissue and can cause inflammation, swelling, kill brain cells, disrupt electrical impulses, weaken neurotransmitters (hello insomnia), burn out neurons, cause confusion, anxiety and etc. MSG is well hidden in words like "spices ", glutamine, hydrolyzed, maltodextrin, carrageenan, balsamic vinegar, yeast extract, barley malt, corn starch, wheat starch, modified good starch, gelatin, whey protein, soy protein, soy sauce, broth, bullion, stock, seasonings and more. Nutritional yeast is a specific glutamine acid only found there - highly irritating to the intestinal lining - can contribute to IBS and Celiac. Can use in moderation if you don't suffer from any conditions or symptoms but you appear to be using a lots in multiple forms. Pg 255 "Medical Medium Revised and Expanded ".

@HealthyVeganMama3 жыл бұрын
Similar in that there seems to be no added junk. But Rip’s has a ton more beneficial ingredients n there, plus Uncle Sam’s contains whole flax seeds, which is hard for our body to digest, sometimes not allowing most of the nutrients to get absorbed. Ground flax is usually best. However, Uncle Sam’s is a way better choice than most cereals out there for sure! 🙌🏻
