My top 10 worst fishing lures ! | challenge me to catch on 3 | numbers in description

Hi guys preparing for my UK lure fishing to start. I’ve found lures that have been with me for some time and I’m yet to catch on.
Who knows with a bit of confidence one of these may become my new “go to”

The SG sandeel pencil and the Westin Goby v2 are two of my staple baits for sea run brown trout. They are always reliable catchers for me, but bear in mind that they are designed for shallow water, 1,5 to 3 meters maximum depth up to 20-30 cm sometimes. A couple of points: The SG sandeel pencil has different actions between the 13 and 19 gram versions. I don't use the 19 grams because it comes in like a dead stick, no movement at all. The 13 gram version has caught me a lot of fish, especially in brown and sandeel colours. I think it may be mistaken for both a ragworm and a sandeel by the fish. The line-through versions are all fantastic. The Goby V2 (or Moby) is great when there's strong wind or when you have to cast far. That, and the Westin Salty in 18 grams is what I use when I target big seatrout. Both the SG pencil and Westin Goby should be controlled by frequent spin stops, more than rod movements. And if you add a dropper fly, the chances of catching increases dramatically, but they work a charm on their own. So, if you translate that to bass fishing, save them for when you fish in shallow water or over snaggy grounds and the fish feeds in the surface.

Most of my Welsh bass fishing is done in very rough shallow ground I just need to up my confidence in them to use them more 👍🏻

@@chuckitandsea I look forward to it! All three baits are great, tried and proven baits. But as you mention, confidence is key to any bait, and that can only be gained by catching your first couple of fish on them and learning their quirks.

Had lots of good size bass on the Savage Gear pencils especially in the small 13g & 19g and more often in Matt White Tobis👌 Next up the do live stick give it more water time at night good flat conditions fished really slowly be surprised if you still don't score No used by me but lad's here do quite often skerries eel behind a bombarda float for me attracts to many schoolies? Good luck lol

Savage gear pencil has been good to me on a fairly fast retrieve. Dolive just twitching in a tide run is also deadly for me and I have also have had decent bass on the dark sleeper I like to fish them in a swell in boulders haven't fished with any of the others.

im reelin (pun intended) from the fact youve not caught on abu toby mate! sandeel pencils give me issues only time ive interest is on motoroil uv in summer fished lighting quick with an odd spin stop, personally speakin my nightmare lure is a hansen stripper 15g sunrise!! people catch left on right on them but not me 🤣 good video concept mate i like it 👍👍

Savage gear pencil sent the bass wild for one session only last summer. First time using one too, thought i found a real bass magnet. Nope, hundreds of casts later nothing. Most peculiar, least they cast well 😂

My 3 - Toby ,pencil and do-live . All meant to be fantastic but I have not luck on them . Even bought the big savage gear gravity stick kits with no success,decent lure box though 👍
