Since the manga had a number of "mature" topics that wouldn't be suitable for children. Did they censor the plot a bit? Cause even the end had Maron and Chiaki consummate their love, so I can't imagine they would even hint at that in the anime.

That was what I was going to mention. Winx Club has great transformations, well maybe except Butterflix. And plus, Enchantix is a really popular transformation, and it’s nostalgic too. Maybe the creator has never heard of/grew up with Winx Club which may be a reason why none of the transformations made it on the list.

Number 14 is from Senki Zesshou Symphogear XV, which is the fourth season of the Symphogear series. The first season's transformation qualities were average. But the later seasons up to the finale really upped their transformation scenes for each character. And they all sing their own battle theme each season which is a reflection of their inner thoughts and emotions. It's really worth the watch if you haven't. Famous VA's are in here that sings their own character theme songs and they are bangers.

omg great that kamikaze kaito jeanne is here. this show is so underrated I still find it so funny that so many transformations have super minor looking girls with hentai faces , with nude body shots and nobody seem to care. but then there are normal other artworks and people flip out. @@user-ul2bu1uh3i I mean Precure is far from underrated. It literally chased out Jewelpet and became the mahou shoujo monopoly in Japan. You can't go anywhere without seeing a Precure product in a store there(there's even more now with the 20th anniversary). It also helps that it's one of Bandai's main toy lines for kids. I honestly haven't seen a magical girl kids show be enough to compete with it in a long time. Sanrio keeps attempting, like with Mewkle Dreamy. But they haven't been able to build up the same popularity that their Jewelpet series had.
