My top 3 circle hooks

Here is a list of my top 3 circle hooks and several tips along the video that will help you catch more fish with any style of hooks you use. Circle hooks have evolved tremendously over the years and there are circle hooks out there now to fit the needs of any style you have.

I prefer Kahle hooks ( aka. Wide Gap Hooks ) because they are like a combination of a j hook and a circle hook but they're the best of both worlds. Because with Kahle hooks ( aka. Wide Gap Hooks ) you can either choose to set the hook yourself or you can let the fish set the hook for you. So you have options depending on whether you're an active fishing fisherman or a passive fishing fisherman. So basically it's just a good compromise between the two styles of hooks I do recommend when using Kahle hooks ( aka. Wide Gap Hooks ) to go down one or two sizes from your typical j hook you would use due to the wider gap.

Circle hooks rock!! Good choice of hooks. But I miss gripping and ripping it, to set it on a j hook.

Awesome video am very glad you did this video. This is great and your first two are exactly my top two as well. I got a 25 pack of the 6/0 and 8/0 triple threat. Hookup ratio is great on those hooks. My third is actually the eagleclaw 5/0 offset circle hook. I did not know eagleclaw made circle hooks till I got one of those good deals on amazon. Comes in a pack of 40. I have just as good hookup ractio with the eagleclaws as I do the gamakatsu's and they are also super sharp. I agree and like how offset the triple threat hooks are. Only thing is their smallest size is 6/0 and their 6/0 hooks are pretty large, larger than say a gamakatsu 6/0. But the way they are is great for cut bait. I also and my 4th favorite is the daichi. Agree make sure and offset your circle hook if they are not already. Man great video. I continue to test hookup ratio between the triple threats, the Gamakatsu, and the eagleclaws.

Not gonna lie my favorite is called ucec they really are the best I've ever used frfr but I ran out and I got the eagle claw silver ones size 6/0 ault circle sea offset hooks

You should try out the Catmaxx circle hooks. Very good hooks but I offset them

How do you like that tightline fishing mono? I'm thinking about getting some but I was wondering about the amount of stretch it has also the memory and if it is abrasion resistant, but the price is good. Keep making videos!

I like it but I don't lol. It's super affordable, really resistant, memory is good. Only thing I don't like is it don't stretch far before it breaks. Tough to break but I've had alot of fish hung up that I was able to pull out with the big game mono because it stretches a mile. But once u stretch any mono that far it's best to replace it. I guess I would say it's pretty good but I still like the big game better just wish I could get a bulk line deal like the tightline lol

I find offset hooks, depending on the brand, can gut hook, or hook in the throat, more than straight.
