I find that a couple of quick flourishes particularly a thumb fan and faro to bridge shuffle right as I mention the word magic really helps people to understand what I’m actually offering (even if I don’t end up doing a card trick)

Great video dude! I LOVE the taking a picture method, I used to do it all the time! Instead of telling them I'm a magician, I'd have my shoelaces undone and once I've taken the picture, I'd remark my shoes are undone and shake my foot, with the shoelaces doing themselves up (the classic trick). Instantly got a reaction and people wanted to see more!

I perform for homeless people sometimes when I am walking my dog. If I really like them, I will do extreme burn 2.0 and leave them with a 20 dollar bill. I really liked this video. Makes me want to get out there more.
