This reminds me of the story of Ricky Jay in that documentary about him. The director urged him to do a storied trick where he produces a big block of ice at a dinner table, but Ricky refused. Much later when Ricky had arranged to meet the interviewer off camera alone for a lunch, he performed it to her completely unexpectedly and the way she describes that moment sounds like what you experienced that night in Scotland. I think Ricky knew that trick and its history was too special to be left to the camera and applause from the audience. He knew it should be done when humans are really together for each other and to experience it with each other.

That’s a great example. Magic can never be adequately captured on camera, you lose so much of the atmosphere and impact when you’re not there

Thank you for this very inspiring video! ❤ Keep up the Great Work. Here's something that came to my mind : "Yesterday is a history , tommorow is a mystery but to live in thw presence thats a present of the universe."

Fucking beautiful. I dont do magic anymore (Im a hardcore cardist) but I dont think one has to be a magician to resonate with this. Its a fundamental aspect of life that often goes overlooked in our modern world. Also, interestingly enough, I actually have a cardistry cut named after heraclitus because that same quote from the beginning of this video has always stood out to me.

Thanks man, glad you liked it. I agree, this subject resonates in pretty much every area of life, and it’s something I want to get better at in everyday interactions with people
