Used Camille Rose's oil and it was amazing. I had a bald spot in front of my head...put a little bit of that oil on the spot also the area around it. My spot grew back within 4 weeks. It was also used for pre poo and sealing. Love it...still using by the way.

Ayurveda, is a game changer in hair care. Love alma,henna, fenugreek and the head massage techniques.
@doThatGWalk7 жыл бұрын
Alison Zunguze how have they helped you?
@alisonzunguze81837 жыл бұрын
doThatGWalk Alma - stopped hairfall, so thickened my hair, and my hair is darker, I have very little greying as compared to 5 years ago Henna - conditioning and strength and thickening the individual strands, translating to much less breakage, I have kinky fine strands Fenugreek - manageability and less shedding, my hair has crazy volume now ( I protective style for 4 to 8 weeks at a time, and at take down I have a tiny amount of shed hair) Indian massage techniques - very relaxing and have helped me meet my potential hair growth, some months I can get an inch of growth with this, if I am consistent and do it with things like drinking a good amount of water, oiling the scalp with vhf, taking hair skin and nails and exercising. My hair looks and feels healthy and is much easier to manipulate being of the fine stranded, kinky coily, type 4cdxz tribe, thats an epic feat.
@alisonzunguze81837 жыл бұрын
doThatGWalk I use alma as an infused oil, for sealing and scalp oiling and mixing in with hot oil treatments or deep conditioner's. Henna as a mask on wash days ( i love full strength treatments) and sometimes as a tea spray. Fenugreek as a daily moisturising spray, that I concentrate on my scalp first then the rest of my hair. Head massage, I aim for once a day when I can for about 10 to 15 minutes a session.
@doThatGWalk7 жыл бұрын
Alison Zunguze did the henna change your hair color?
@alisonzunguze81837 жыл бұрын
doThatGWalk Slightly, I have dark hair to begin with, so you can see a slight reddish/brown tint when I stand in direct sunlight, but other than that my hair looks jet black. I think the more layers of henna is on your hair the darker the hair looks. I have been using henna since about mid 2011. And I cut my hair super short, like clock work every 2 years (haven't done it this cycle yet, I am enjoying my hair), so it doesn't take long for the colour benefits to show. If you don't want colour, your can do henna gloss, or limit the time henna sits on your hair ( like apply for an hour) or mix the henna and instead of letting the dye release you apply the henna immediately to your hair or use cassia.

Lakshimis Cupboard is one of the newer brands for my hair care routine. You featured in an earlier video about black owned hair businesses. My hair responds differently when using ayurvedic products. When I bought it I didn't really have a clue about ayurvedic. I purchased off recommendation. However, after using for the past two months my hair feels less dry and stronger. I'm still learning the right mix of products, but very pleased with the results.

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Very well done. The things curly proverbs never told us. Got me out here looking high and low for all these separately to mix at home. Meanwhile, there are pre mixed products out here. You don't have to tell me twice. 🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️

I could not find the brand of Henna I would normally use, but the Indian store had the Hesh brand, so I purchased it. Not too much put off by what you said because I have been using all the other Ayurvedic herbs by Hesh, and they have not failed me yet. This will be my first time using Hesh Henna. I love Nupur Henna because it has a mixture of Ayurvedic herbs. 🎈🌈👍

75% of my regimen is aruyveda based and mostly diy. It can be exhausting but is totally worth it. I try to have my mixups prepped before wash day. I am conservatively adding in some store brought products in hopes of having other methods to rely on outside of my diy mixtures. It can be challenging but I am always excited to try the next best thing!

This was right on time, gurl. This is why I love you. I am out of almost everything. Deep conditioner, I can't find Darcy's Botanical's leave-in (that was my holy grail for over 5 years) and I wanted to revisit Ayurvedic treatments since I am growing my hair out. So thanks for the Natty Cupuacu mention. Gonna order it and give it go! I only ever used Henna and I think Amla powder. Don't know if they worked since back then I tried everything. Now I know what my hair likes but I wouldn't mind giving it the ol college try. Thanks again. And loving the "let's Dance, Donna Summer" tease you are serving. cuidate

Thank you for this introductory video on ayurveda! I was excited when I saw you holding the Camille Rose Oil bottle. I started using their products 6 months ago and was blown away! Most moisturizing products I've ever tried!!! But I stopped going to the salon a year ago and was unable to maintain a good moisture protein balance. As a result, my overelastic hair kept breaking and shedding... :-( Long story short, last month I started using the Aphogee products, doing daily scalp massages, and oiling my scalp with the Camille Rose Oil. But with so many new practices in my regimen, it's a bit difficult to know how effective the oil is on its own. If you ever feel like sharing your thoughts on it after you've tried a few times, it'll be appreciated. Since I lack experience with ayurvedic oils I'm not quite sure how to tell wether or not they are effective. ;-)

Since this video, can you update us with your thoughts on the camille rose serum? I've been using it for a couple of months and I like the consistency. I like that it's light and smells pleasant vs my DIY mixture of jbco, olive/avacado, and vitamin e oil. It did initially cause my scalp to itch, but others have made claims that it had the same effect on them at first and then went away... not sure if that means its removing toxins or just having a negative reaction to one's scalp lol... but interested to hear your thoughts.

Ahhh, your wig!! Yasssssss! I made the mistake, a long time ago of using neem oil as a oil refresher on a 4 day twist out. I will never forget the smell. Maybe I will try again during a deep conditioning session but my nose is still traumatized. Lol.
