Thanks for all the tips! I have one question about tyres: would you recommend to go with 23 at the front and 25 at the back? Or 25 for both?
@mooNylou5 жыл бұрын
As always: It depends...
@SebastianKienleTriathlete5 жыл бұрын
Difficult question, I would say you have to test that. On a roadbike I would go 25 on the back anytime, you have more weight on the rear wheel, so the lower rolling resistance and the better shock dumping of a 25mm plays an even bigger role. On the TT I would usualy also go for a 25mm on the back, but be aware a 25mm Conti often is as wide as a 28mm Schwalbe...

Awesome !!! Are you COLD ??? It looks like you have a cold or it's freezing !!
@SebastianKienleTriathlete5 жыл бұрын
JOE OCHOA it was very cold indeed, it’s an indoor track but it is not heated. If you test the whole day with your race suit in 8 degrees Celsius you have to be careful...

@SebastianKienleTriathlete5 жыл бұрын

Its a real concern that a world class athlete with all the resources that you have at your disposal - cant defeat achilles tendinopathy - is there any hope for the amateurs who also suffer with this dam injury? Can you do a 5 top tips for trianing and racing with a Achilles Tendinopathy?
@SebastianKienleTriathlete5 жыл бұрын
Hi Craig, it’s not a secret: sport at that level is not always healthy. It’s one of the most difficult things to find the balance between being very careful with your only resource: your body and just harden the f up. The Achilles video is already in the making, should be out in the first or second week of 2019. And yes, there is hope for sure, if you take is serious enough. Get well soon!

To add to tyres, puncture resistance is inversely proportional to tyre wear ... old tyres puncture easy, new tyres not so much ... the tyres you race on shouldn't be the tyres you train on.

Actually, bike fitting and wheels are expensive.

I like Kienle, but I don’t need Triathlon 101 tips from a pro. He trains and races at a higher level; his content could be so much more than just the basics.
@SebastianKienleTriathlete5 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike, yep I agree, but I try to find the right balance here. There are maybe a thousand people in the world who realy care about every small detail. And yes at one point I can't tell all the secrets, in some ways triathlon became like formula 1... But if you have questions, I try to answer them.
