Dread is a middle tier Metroid game so you're going to be blown away when you complete the Prime trilogy and Super/Fusion

Awesome picks... except Metroid, lol. I hear it's a good game, but it's not my cup of tea. Extra kudos for the love you gave to my boy, Yusuke. I also haven't played the new Rachet & Clank (STILL trying to get a damn PS5), but it looks awesome! So... for my top five... 5. Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One - I'm a sucker for mystery games and while this one has its flaws, I still love it. I'm glad they let you make wrong accusations instead of forcing you to get it right every time or not progress. Gives the game a bit of replayability. 4. The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles - See above, lol. I've been a fan of the Ace Attorney series for years, so finally getting these titles in the west was a dream come true for me! Now if only they would officially localize the second Miles Edgeworth game.... 3. Tales of Arise - JRPG? Check. Set in a fantasy world? Check. Dual-language option? Check. Parts of the story might leave something to be desired, but the combat is fun and I enjoyed all the characters so I can live with it. 2. Lost Judgement - I love, love, LOVE the Yakuza series. This is a more "serious" spin-off series that uses the same combat style the Yakuza games used to use (it's been confirmed the series will be a JRPG going forward from Like a Dragon) and follows a detective rather than those on the other side of the law. I really hope there will be another entry in the series, even if they have to go with a different main character. 1. Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker - The perfect end cap to a story arc that's spanned nearly the last decade. This damn game made me cry on multiple occasions. I can't wait to see where the Warrior of Light goes next! Reaper is an amazingly fun class to play, too, and has become my new main.

I think I am the only one who is disappointed with tales of Arise. The story just wasn't for me. Coming from other tales of game or jrpgs in general the tales of Arise Story felt pretty bland and was at the end mostly exposition dumbs. The pacing was a little bit too fast I think. They could have done a lot more with the worldbuilding. It felt really rushed to me and almost none of the revelations and plot twists came surprising for me. It is really a shame. I enjoyed everything else in the game. 2021 was the year of Indie games for me. I didn't play a lot of the big games. I think Littlewood is the one I enjoyed the most. So charming and relaxing.
