Ok. Who remembers looking through the Sears & Roebuck Christmas Wish Book as a kid and circling all the great toys you wanted? I have a feeling that looking at the Creekside website tomorrow will be the grown up version of that! 😄🎄🌺 As far as other lists, I would like to hear more recommendations for shade annuals.

Topics: Hi Jenny! Would you cover a series of annuals that do well in sun to part shade so I can plan my front garden? Also if you would do a container garden that covers those lighting conditions that would be great. Also my first hydrangea I purchased was from you. Your shipping was amazing and the packaging allowed it to be delivered in prime condition! I look forward to ordering from you all again. Thank you Creekside Crew! ❤️😁

Very fun video! I have new beds so looking forward to trying some of these next spring. I have roses that got eaten up by thrips this year. So frustrating. So I have a strong interest in plants that bring the good predator bugs like ladybugs, lacewings, and pirate bugs.

Decisions, decisions for next year. I usually line the sidewalk from the driveway to the front door with Supertunia Jazzberry, but due to fixing some drainage issues from the downspouts, I now don't have as much planting space in that bed. So now trying to come up with a new look. Leaning toward doing the Tiara Pink combined with the Mini Me Chartreuse just to have a different look.
@Tracymw99Ай бұрын
5:53 can the mini me chartreuse take hot west sun. I am assuming not since it’s shade or sun and I am in Oklahoma where it can get over 100 like where you live.

I finally planted the pink and purple annual salvias and they’re still going! I only have three pink salvias along the border of a bed and they basically filled in a whole 9 foot span. It’s worth a repeat next year for sure.

And the wicked witch coleus is a huge hit on the back deck boxes. Literally the only downside is that one plant kind of took over the 20” container. I either need to plant just that and underplant the pots with smaller containers or pinch the coleus back more than twice.

What plants give you a lot of flower power without needing much root space? When our deck was rebuilt, my only container option for my 'kitchen sink view' was a saddle-style rail planter from Gardner's Supply. They are quite shallow. Petunia work, but I don't love the sticky mess on my deck. This year, Lucious Citron Lantana was miserable until I moved it to a larger pot. Is there anything that can give height without needing much root space. Full sun, Zone 8a,

Hello, could you please give recommandations on plants that are able to thrive on top of inground natural water lines (going to a well). I try for years to find plants for pots that don't care about that water line. Only morning glory and thunbergia look good so far. Thank you, your help is appreciated!!

Hi Jenny! Mini me chartreuse coleus looks just like Ball Flora’s salsa verde coleus that I’ve been using in my pots for the last 2 summers. Is it more yellow, or is it developed by the same breeder/sharing genetics across brands? Either way they are both really colorful.

I really want a vigorous cut flower garden but while I get sun, it’s really only 3-4 hours, then it’s dappled. I’d love to hear about cut flowers that would do well in that situation. I’m in zone 9a - central Texas. Thanks!

You have a place that looks like rabbits and deer would be a big problem. Loved the annuals you talked about in this video but you didn’t mention deer or rabbit resistant.
@GardeningwithCreeksideАй бұрын
While we have deer that travel through the property they do not bother our plants. This is the first year I have had an issue with rabbits in 2 gardens at the house. While I did not focus on all of the plants' attributes in this video (that wasn't the main focus for today), we have covered pest resistant plants in the past. Perhaps we will revisit that topic in an upcoming video!

Have had a similar experience here in zone 7b. Started two years ago to remove many plants they had not touched in 15 years. Here are some that worked for me. Double Doozie Spirea, Pugster Blue butterfly bush, lantana (there is a pink perennial that grows about 4 x 3 here in zone 7b), allium, serendipity is great, but others are equally resistant, mountain mint, and dahlias for color are mostly reliable for not getting eaten. They won’t eat fern, or pachysandra. I also put in pancake arborvitae, a low growing evergreen which they don’t touch either. Another good one is Florida Sunshine which is made in a standard and dwarf. Gorgeous color year round. Iris survives as does any form of catmint. Walker’s low is 3 x 3, reliably but there are lots of other varieties now. Digging out beautiful healthy plants has been expensive and heartbreaking. But, not having to spray or cover, and not having them eaten is well worth it.
