I really enjoyed your video. What specifically makes a rod great for you? What matters the most? For me, it's the way it feels in my hand. Once you get to a certain price point. The sensitivity & technique specifics of the rods are very close. I tend to pick up the rod that feels the best in my hand. NRX-+, ADRINA'S & MEGABASS are my go-to's. With great equipment I stay on the water longer & it increases my joy of fishing. A great combo is just so much fun to fish with. Happy Holidays Punch.

Very interesting breakdown on your favorite store bought rods, have you ever considered having a custom rod made for yourself? I bet you would get way more bang for your buck.
@PunchFishing2 жыл бұрын
I'm not really into custom rods honestly. I like having resale value and nobody wants to buy used custom rods. Just a personal preference.

AGS Powerpitch has been it for me also , actually great spinnerbait rod and swimjig in grass. Wanting to pick up a nrx+ , either 852 or 872 for the neko this summer. I know you like the 872 for that just wonder if it's not too stiff to chuck a 16th ounce nail wait with a finesse worm on it? I also do some shore fishing as well.

Ok, so my baitcaster assortment is complete(and then some). I have several great spinning rods, but I could use a few more. In your opinion, what is the most versatile spinning rod in the $250 range? Need something to throw Shakey heads, wacky rigs, weightless tx rigs for bass, and something I could also jig for walleye? Thx bro, another great video.

I'm surprised you think the javelin is a better chatterbait rod than the expride 72mh glass... I have 2 javelins but neither I would use for chatterbaits.. I use one for spinnerbaits and the other one is my cranking stick..
@PunchFishing2 жыл бұрын
Day to day I use the Expride for tossing chatterbaits, but the javelin has more power for "ripping" them out of grass. So I use the javelin more situationally. Plus the Jav does a buncha other stuff really well.
