Mate, this channel is gonna blow up to 50k subs in 3 weeks, and 100k by the end of the year easy! So well articulated, down to earth, great quality of audio, edit and production along with story. Can you do a bit of a biography, who you are, where you live, how you started ect. That will help the audience connect with your personality more. Overall so happy I found this channel before it blows up. The fact I did find it means it starting to really reach.

Hybrid training, reminds me of basic training for the military. I started trying this myself 3 weeks ago. Been lifting for 10+ years and a pretty good size man. Over 250lbs, pretty solid. Running is a different challenge so Im enjoying the process so far

Yeah it’s tough. With three kids, a wife and a business it’s really hard to prioritize our fitness but I make myself focus on the benefits. My children will have more respect for me, my wife will have genuine desire for me and my mind will be much clearer which will help with the business.

Hey Tommy, liking the content! There would be times where I would need to do running and lifting on the same day, like you did in the vid. But I would reckon if you are training legs that day this is not a smart choice, right? Especially for someone who is just starting this hybrid training
@tommynewell8 ай бұрын
It will be tough but if you have to you can definitely get it done. Just remember you probably won't have as much energy to run or lift (what ever you choose to do second that day)

I dont know why every hybrid athlete seems to do single joint bodybuilding movements. Way better to focus on reducing overall lifting volume by focusing on full body compound power and OLY lifts. Superior for athletics and far more anabolic. Also much easier to gradually add weight increases.
@tommynewell7 ай бұрын
It's because most hybrid athletes come from a body building background and prefer that style of training. It's obviously not the best for athletics but It's better for building/maintaining muscle if you are trying to look at certain way. There's a reason bodybuilders don't train full body every day. If your trying to sculpt you physique to look a certain way you need to target those muscles.
@MarthaSwolert7 ай бұрын
@@tommynewell targeting muscles might work for addressing imbalances but as far as muscle growth is sub optimal unless you are on anabolic steroids. If natural long term you'll see far more muscle growth focusing on full body compound movements. I've been an SC coach for almost 20 years and trained 100s of athletes for various reasons. Bodybuilding isolation is not superior for muscle growth unless your on anabolic steroids where the hormonal advantage of big lifts is replaced and more blood volume is the goal
