Hi All,
I really wanted to make this video. This is something I had to overcome if I was going to lose weight. Over eating and binge eating played a massive part in my weight gain. It's still something I struggle with now sometimes. I made this video to help others, but also to remind myself of the techniques I used to use.
If it helps you please leave a positive comment, i'd love to know. It worked for me. Some tips may seem like common sense, however it doesn't hurt to be reminded.
If this is something you struggle with please know you aren't alone. I get it. I know how it feels. I've got good news though!!! You can change, you can beat it and you can forgive yourself and move on.

I feel so trapped in diet, binge, diet, binge etc. I am piling on the lbs and can't believe how far I've let myself go. You're video is giving me some hope. Thank you x

Nikki is the person we all want because she really talks a lot of sense because she is so honest and completely up front because she has been in the same positions that all dieters have been and her tips are well worth listening to, it really works.

Really helpful to hear these tips. Especially the mindful eating and pause one. I also read The Happiness Trap by Russ Harris which has helped too. But more important than anything is the letting go of the guilt. After 40 years of feeling 'good' or 'bad' around certain foods, it is taking time to change this pattern. Thanks Nikki

Thank you for sharing. Staying to group is a definite must. Subscribed to your channel last week and find you amazing. I joined SW and lost 3.5 stone and got 2 stone to go. You are so inspiring I mentioned you to my group in Wales. Keep posting and thank you again.

This has really made me think. I did used to watch your videos and some other SlimmingWorld ones for tips and tricks oh and the recipe, love to cook and try new sw ideas!!! I’ve stopped doing that recently and all the weight I lost I’ve put back on and I’m finding it hard to get back off again. I think it’s because I feel so guilty, like I’ve let myself down and I just need to move on and start over. This video had really made me think and I’ll be telling that chimp to go away from now on 🤞x

That mindful eating trick is really good. It's something I never ever do, I always have something else to watch or read. Going to try that. Also, I leave food as 'lickings' for my dog. X

Just what I needed after a bad few days. I'm guilty of weighing myself at home each morning and I know I should wait for group. But when I see a 3lb loss on my own scales I think oh well lets just have a few more syns today....I get cocky with it and end up with either a maintain or a gain :( Getting hubby to hide the bathroom scales right now! I also remind myself that if I can give up smoking then I can give up over eating. Thanks for sharing xxxxx

I'm the same with self sabotage I know if I buy a multipack if freddo frogs or curly wurlys or twirls etc I'll eat ever bar in the pack before bed.... if there is chocolate in my cupboards I can not sleep I just I can't. It got to the point t where I would lock them in the boot of my car and park 5 minutes away from home so when I want chocolate at 3am I can't have it because I have to walk up a massive hill for 5 minutes and that's dangerous.... obviously come winter I won't be able to do that so I have to kick the habit and I think it's a matter of knowing that's a trigger and buying them singularly as I want them and require them else I'm eating a week of syns in 10 minutes..... not ideal
