I try some pomegranate lemonade and was so good. I will eventually buy the pomegranate syrup someday since I really like the lemonade.

Great content. When I got my Breville Express I went nuts and ordered 25 bottles of syrup and 8 sauces from Torani. Unfortunately I was not impressed with the syrups at all. I feel they lack distinction of flavor and are void of depth. I have since switched to Monin which I prefer by miles. However, I recently tried 1883 and as far as syrups go... No contest! Alpha! For white chocolate sauce Hollander is my favorite. I enjoyed your reviews. I will use Torani for sauce (except white chocolate) but syrups Monin and first choice... 1883!

I LOVE this video! I'm just getting into the home coffee experience and I'm a little stuck. For some reason all the syrups have a bitter aftertaste for me when I use more than 1 or 2 teaspoons, but then I can't taste the flavor! Vanilla is the only one that doesn't do that so ever day is vanilla...but I really, really want to use the caramel, toffee nut, and almond roca flavors I have and get more creative. Do you have any tips for this?
@katerinafaithdiaz5 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for watching friend! I've never experienced bitterness with the syrups, so I'm not sure really how to troubleshoot since the syrups are meant to sweeten which is the opposite of bitterness, but I'm thinking it could be: 1. You don't like the brand - maybe Torani isn't your fav so you should try another syrup brand 2. Maybe you're using sugar free instead of regular and you're not a huge fan 3. The syrups could be clashing with the roast of coffee you're using 4. Try adding some milk or cream to your drinks to cut the bitterness a bit You could also always try making your own syrups! I have a few on my website that will show ya how easy they are to make at home :) katerinafaith.com/?s=homemade+syrups

@@katerinafaithdiaz YES. I'm using the sugar free so I can cut my carb intake...maybe that kind is just bitter. I need to try the regular one to see if that's better. I have tried lighter roasts and I always add milk/cream because I find coffee a little bitter on it's own. Thanks for the link to your website--super excited to try some new combinations!

How long do people keep these out on the counter after being opened?
@katerinafaithdiaz10 ай бұрын
I've had many of mine for well over a year and they're still fine! The expiration date on the bottles is more for coffee shops - the syrups do lose their potency over time, so you'll need to add more of the syrup to get the same amount of flavor which would be not ideal for coffee shops - but that usually takes a year or longer from my experience :)

Wouldn't those go bad before you could use them all?
@katerinafaithdiaz10 ай бұрын
Yes, but many of them have been gifts or have been given to me as a Torani ambassador, I don't purchase them all myself. I try to use as much of them as I can before they lose their potency and I have to get rid of them, but it usually takes upwards of a year before they officially lose their potency and no longer work well in drinks :)

car-mal or care-a-mel?

I've said CAR-MAL my whole life and I don't plan on changing it lol but if someone else says CARE-A-MEL, that's cool too and I wouldn't expect them to change it either :)

I think car-mal is more hard like a taffy that tries to pull your teeth out if you chew it and care-a-mel is soft, melt in your mouth type.
