I have the same machine, different brand. Had it all of a month. I freakin' love it!! Had a domestic machine that I just couldn't get in to. OMG, I had no idea how happy this machine would make me. Right off the bat I got a job to do 20 beanies. It ran beautifully. I have another order for 50 hats. This is so much fun! I love that the company support is so extensive. I'm not afraid to roll up my sleeves and get dirty and I love knowing all about my machine. So I get where you're coming from! I right there beside you.

"same machine, different brand."? what machine do you have?

I got the Avance 1501C. The 1501C's are made by Dahao in China and branded by many companies. Bai, Ricoma, Avance, Redline to name a few. The software might be different but I've seen a few with the same software as the Avance. I have used Ricoma videos to learn more about the machines that applies directly to mine. Avance has an extensive video collection albeit a bit old. Ricoma has newer videos. Romero Threads also has great info using these machines. Oh there's another good one out there that escapes me right now. Anyway, yeah. All the same machines just branded differently.

Thank you! I try to be very up front, unfiltered, and honest. I am sometimes provided with products to play with, but it is never in exchange for a positive review. Also, if I do take in any kind of affiliate perk, I just save it up and apply it to the next charity campaign!

It can be a bit overwhelming at first, because they're such big machines, but once you get acquainted with it and hone in your tensions, you can do SO MUCH with them.

@@amuseinthecraftroom6257 when I started out, I had a combo sewing/embroidery machine from Viking. It was called the "Rose." It was limited to 4x4 and drove me NUTS. I moved up to the Epic, then it was the single needle that made me want to scream at trees.

Awesome, I am glad to see an honest review. How do you go about getting business from businesses? I really want to get something local. Thank you.
@fiercekittenz
@fiercekittenz 3 ай бұрын
I had to "shoot my shot" and just email them with an introductory letter stating who I am, what my business offers, and products that I think would work well for them. I honestly haven't worked up the nerve to speak to local consignment shops, but that's mostly because with the fulltime job I get scared of the off chance that my small business booms and I can't keep up.

@@fiercekittenz I am scared of that too, be honest. I am only one person. But it's time for me to get out of my comfort zone and get out there,I think. I love embroidery and bag making. Thank you ❤️

Did you do the "training" that they say if you don't you might void warranty - honestly we have an order we need to complete and have bought one of these and our old MB4 gave up...we need to use this new machine. Does the training impact your warranty if so how?
@fiercekittenz
@fiercekittenz 2 ай бұрын
YUP I did do the training. I don't know if it actually affects the warranty or not. I must admit that as a brand partner, I had a different onboarding experience. My training was 1:1 with a tech and we were able to breeze through a lot of it, because I had a lot of prior experience with a multineedle coming in to the call. I could see how they'd want to honor the warranty only if you took the training, because a LOT of people will buy into a machine like this, not know what they're doing, and absolutely mess something up. You see it all the time. There's a whole channel on YT by this person who bought one, didn't learn anything about multineedle embroidery (or embroidery at all) and messed up a million hats, then proceeded to blame it on the machine.

@@fiercekittenz Just curious what did the "training" entail. We have 2 other Jenome MB4(we had a 3rd bt sold it) and various other machines. So we know how to embroyder. The issue was the machine was turned on and we started embroydering without any issues. I threaded it and did not adjust tension or any thing else. We did this because they told us it would take 3 weeks to train us, having a business and the MB4s were needing maintenance we decided to purchace this new Ricoma. Well we started embroydering and then the machine started squeeling and the degree is off but found out how to adjust and correct that. I may become the machine adjuster and repaired but would hope that I can at least get technical support from them. I have repaired many many machines in my life including the other MB4s and feel confident with my skills however I am a little dissapointed that purchasing a 12,000 machine I would be told oh you paid for it but need to wait 3 weeks to use it. That is not acceptable. You buy a car and drive it off you never have to wait to use it. Since now our business is totally shut down until they get with us. I know there probably is nothing you can do but perhaps there might be. In any case thanks again.

I’ve done a lot of things for turtle Abel organizations such as National Federation of the Blind and Shake lake Miami and spinal cord support group of South Florida to them a few my question to you is you talked about that you only charge for your blanks and everything so how much do you have take away home money because this is my only job I don’t have a9 to 5 job this is my job any recommendations thank you so much. You’re awesome. Keep up the great work. How much did you spend on your mighty hoop station and everything I know how much they’re worth my question is how much did you spend and do you feel that you’ve gotten that back in revenue, making stuff with your mighty hoops

Hey! So I don't do this for a living - if it's for a business or individual I do charge appropriately. I only charge for materials and some machine use (where appropriate) IF the order is for a charity. I don't take an outright loss, but the profit margin is JUST enough to cover the effort. It's just my way of trying to give back in other ways beyond my cash donations, of course. I take all of my affiliate payments and donate them throughout the year. My next campaign is in September for Starlight!

My fear with getting a multi-needle machine is that I'd have a 15 needle machine show up at my doorstep, and I'd jump into my digitizing software and tell myself "I am free now, time to make a 15 colour design to stitch out!" and then I'd get to colour 16 and my soul would exit my body.

If it gets too hot. Install a split air conditioner. Not expensive and more efficient than a window or whole house. We got our Mr.Cool from Costco and could not beat the price for our garage

I had one of those in my sewing room when I lived in TX. We have a little unit in the garage, but the pipe leading out wasn't installed correctly. We slapped duct tape on it and now it's not leaking ;)
