I think your dog needs a hard boot restart. Try going to settings and click on restart options. You'll then be greeted with a screen that says "Deep restart or regular restart" click on deep restart. Give it 3 hours and your dog will go back to normal.

Yea, birds do clean their beaks, usually wiping it off on a hard surface. My chickens do this all the time, and my parakeets sometimes do, but mainly chew through their perches.

Most birds do this to sharpen their beaks. Ravens, Crows and other avians of that family do it for that reason, similar to how cats sharpen their claws by clawing at things. It is also a bit of a tick, similar to how we scratch ourselves, pick underneath our fingernails. It helps with keeping their beak clean, it scratches the beak and many things more.
