You should totally have a shift knob made out of wood and stained to be the same color as the dash/door trim! Would look dope! Edit: also fake friend is a killer song isn’t it 😂

@Matt_Lanzer_133 жыл бұрын
@@youridv he did say that, but nah oem shift knobs are lame lol. He’s got wood grain throughout the car and a custom interior, why use an oe knob it just doesn’t fit
@youridv3 жыл бұрын
@@Matt_Lanzer_13 He litterally made sure to made the center console as OEM as he could lmao. "why use an oem shifter" because he's trying to make the swap look oem?
@Matt_Lanzer_133 жыл бұрын
@@youridv an oem center console is one thing... it won’t look hacked or anything. He said he wants the SWAP to look oem. As in the car was originally a manual, oe pedals, stock console trim. Not the interior. because he’s literally touched every aspect of that interior. Swapped or painted everything to black, custom stitched front/rear seats, crazy starlight headliner, aftermarket wheel, etc. an oem shift knob won’t fit the look really at all. 99% of all modified Japanese cars have aftermarket shift knobs anyways, so why would it make it look like it’s not a modified oe manual car? It’s simple logic lol

Hey mike, I tried to Dm you about this but you probably didn’t see, I just did the same swap on my gs300 and its a vip car and rides low, the transmission mount kit you used hung too low but I found out that oem 97+ sc300 (the low profile one) trans mount fits perfectly with no modifications or spacer and you can fit the exhaust without the trans hanging too low. Hope this helps

The thing that I like about your videos is that you don't drag things out just to get an upload in. Every roadblock, whether it was the driveshaft adapter, the driveshaft itself, the exhaust, etc. was dealt with in one video and then we got to see you drive the thing. No teasers, no cliffhangers. So good.

Absolutely awesome little series this bro, love the soarer, absolute beast of a car. And manual is the icing on the cake, Only bit of advice I can give is, please for the love of god stop putting it into neutral every time you coast it, if someone pulled out on you and you had to slam on you’d skid straight into them. Need your engine engaged to engine brake in that sort of situation if you want to stop effectively. I’m from the UK so manual cars are second nature to me and a massive bug bare of mine is when people have to brake hard and panic and press the clutch down straight away leaving all the stopping to the tyres and brakes. Apart from that awesome vid as always, keep them coming.

Awesome video, for the vibration, check your gearbox isn’t touching the underside of your tunnel. A friend converted his sr20 c33 laurel to a rb gearbox.
