@@sonyagraske376 cis or cis gender means you are born in the gender you identify as. “Het” is short for heterosexual. Meaning you are attracted to the opposite sex. In this context, it is the shorter way of explaining that we as the partner of a trans gender partner were with them before transition. So our experience is much different than that of our trans partner but we accept and support them and love them just the way they are.

yes, but also not always. People have sexual orientations, and even if someone is attracted to their partner post transition, they my still treat them or want to be treated in gender typical ways... This is probably much less of a problem if the partner is strongly bisexual (like a Kinsey 3).

That isn't always true, that is something that people tell themselves but it isn't always true. I wish more people gave it a chance, but there is a lot of the partners identity tied up in who they are , too. It isn't just sexual attraction, it is about being Mrs John Doe. It sounds surface but it isn't, there is a lot involved in how they id themselves..Saying that a partner loves the person underneath and gender doesnt matter is like telling a trans person if they accept they are a woman or man, why do they need to transition, that how you look is only skin deep. That said, relationships break up for the wrong reason, where someone otherwise who can love the person that transitions, be attracted to them, but is worried about what their religion might say or ppl will think he/ she are gay ( trans male marriages where it survives transition when they were married to a man before transition is relatively rare to start with IME , and survival is even less than w a married trans woman who was married to a woman), loss of social status, financial fears, etc.

This is such a beautiful story. I've shed tears of happiness for your family, while at the same time feel the pain of being outcast and rejected by my only living parent. My father. I'll be 53 in September. Been transitioning since the age of 40 with little to no financial resources. It's been so hard. There were days when I wanted to quit. By quitting, I mean leaving this earth physically. But somehow I always maintained hope. I've come a long way. I'm stealth to most people I know. I always get the question if I have kids from women and men. So that tells me that I blend in/pass. There are days to be honest though, where the light at the end of the tunnel gets dimmer. It's scary. But somehow I've persevered. I know that my story is still being written. Your support system is invaluable. Cherish it. Most trans folks lose the love of most family members and friends. You're solid in that aspect of life. Consider yourselves blessed beyond words. Shaye, your recovery and results are WONDERFUL. That was you all along. I could see if before hand from the previous videos. Amanda. A monument should be erected for you. You are beautiful in everyway. When I first came out, I had a girl friend. That didn't end well. Thank you for the reminder to be proud of and celebrate our journey as trans people even when we aren’t at the finish line of what we want to look like. I stopped my medical transition to try to get pregnant this summer. I decided to wait for top surgery after seeing the surgeon and getting all that approval, and went off testosterone. My little chin hairs are thinning and fading and my curves are back but in the long run, it is more important to me to start a family with my loving partner who is also trans. Today is my 33rd birthday and we have been doing fertility treatments for three years now. I just keep thinking that I have all the time I need to transition but having a baby has a time constraint. I have to remind myself that I am still trans even tho I am not on HRT, and want to carry a baby. I get to define myself. And I see a bright future ahead.

I am a return missionary and currently active in the LDS church. The amount of love and support you offer your partner is priceless. I have lately become more enraged about the trans movement. I think it is extremely predatory and dangerous. Mainly because I believe they are brooming CHILDREN and causing irreversible damage to their bodies.
