I actually just went back in November and December 2017. I'll be uploading a video from that trip soon. I probably won't return to Japan until 2020. But I can't wait to visit again!

Thank you! Yes, if you plan on doing a lot of traveling in Japan, buy the rail pass (you can have it shipped to yourself before you leave). Convert plenty of spending cash into yen before you go (the best place to do this is at the airport where the exchange rate is better). Be prepared to do A LOT of walking. And try as many different types of food as you can once you get there. Some of it may look a little weird, but I promise it's all delicious!
