Whats the latest model you bought ? & curious to know your first back in 86 ?
@timallen60353 жыл бұрын
@@stestar09 The first model I bought back then was a Tamiya Hornet. I currently have a HPI Q32 Baja Buggy, a Axial Wraith Spawn, and a SCX24 B-17 Betty. The Betty is the most recent purchase and the little Q32 being the first one I purchased getting back into the hobby. As a matter of fact I was just running my Wraith around the property I live at. It's nice to have 5 acres to play around on.

Nice 👌 the hornet i remember a friend of mine having that , was watching a tamiya vid on KZbin yesterday with all the greats including the hornet , vid was 59 m8ns long & featured in my local hobby store played continuously, brought back a good few memories & im currently getting back into the hobby after a few years doing other things. 5 acres sounds perfect for the job . Yep technology's come on leaps & bounds since the tamiya 1200m/ah racing pack 5000m/ah's now come in the same size package
@timallen60353 жыл бұрын
@@stestar09 that is so true. I was just running a 5200 mah 3S lipo that is the same size if not a little narrower than the old hard case nicad batteries from back then. I can remember feeling like I was gaining a lot of power when in the late 90's I got a couple of 2200 nimh batteries.

Closed loop motor is a technology that recognizes if motor is at the position that it should be or not. And increases current when motor is missing step. They are usually more efficient since they increase current only when required. Therefore motor don’t run hot when it is not under too much stress.

@soarstar4 жыл бұрын
"Closed loop" is a feedback sensor providing rotor (spinny part of motor) to stator (non-spinny part of motor) position to the speed control, so that it can create very well-manipulated magnetic fields = better low speed control. The opposite, "open-loop" means the speed control doesn't have a feedback device to indicate the rotor / stator position. In short - sensored VS sensorless.
@travispratt63273 жыл бұрын
Thanks that was helpful and not something I’d have looked up intuitively. Do you know of any budget sensor setups that perform well or is it something you can’t skimp on?

I first bought the QuicRun Fusion 2300KV for my Axial RYFT kit. What a perfect motor for a RYFT. It can crawl with the best of them, and with the two speed transmission it is fast ! Liked is so well, I just bought the Traxxas TRX-4 Sport High Trail, and within 2 days switched the stock motor for another Fusion 2300KV, Hugh difference in torque and higher speed running. Thank you for your video, you got me started on the Fusion upgrades !!

Hey, I own the TRX4, I purchased the kit version of the TRX4 and I selected the Land Rover body. The kit was really enjoyable to assemble, I liked putting the TRX4 together because one, if I ran into trouble I'll have knowledge of repairs without having to do any lookups. Now, just a little knowledge that I learned the heard way: I purchased the Land Rover body, but what I didn't know, I had to extend the wheelbase of the TRX4 in order for it to accept the awesomeness looking body. Having a longer wheelbase has advantages especially when it comes to crawlers and they are, adds more weight, better handling, and adds space for more accessories which adds more weight and when it comes to crawlers the heavier the rig the better the rig will be at crawling over obstacles.

Well i ordered my fusion system for my trx6 while watching you demo. Thanks, and your hair looks good young lady. I have found myself slowly converting to hobbywing in all my rigs, from basic 1080 and holmes, to quick runs for my nonprep cars and the 1/8 scale system for my yeti spacing on the designation it jas obviously been too long since I ran that rig I guess. Anyway, hobbywing is slowly starting to dominate the industry it seems. Even all the rebranded stuff from spectrum. Cheap and works well i guess ya can't beat that outside of the fact they are made over seas.

Really clear, interesting and nice as usual ! The best explanation about Hobbywing Fusion! I love your way of making video. One different experience of mine: I bought an 1800 kv AXE for an Axial SCX 10 II and I was quite disappointed because the maximum speed was - maybe - less than with stock motor. What is your experience with you Fusion? Your TRX4 goes faster than with original motor ?

Thanks for showing the installation of the Fusion. I’m building a TRX4 kit and I had to flip the pinion gear because it rubbed on the plastic of the mount when in the direction outlined in the kit instructions. Great demo/testing, I’ll be watching you from now on.
