Can you give us a house tour and share anything that is different than from the US? The view and green grass/trees is stunning!!
@homewithkelli Жыл бұрын
Whew, well there is a lot that is different here than the US... haha I need to start writing them down! And I'll consider doing a house tour, it's very simple as we Airbnb it out when we are away.

This past weekend, one of my kids knocked over my glass SD container that had my 8 year old starter in it. It had too many shards of glass for me to salvage it 😭😭😭. I immediately remembered one of your pat videos where you dehydrated yours to send/travel with and remember telling myself I should do that. Thankfully, I shared my starter with friends and someone is going to give me some of theirs which was originally mine, so I guess it will be like I never lost it, but definitely going to dehydrate some as soon as I get up and running again in case something like this was to happen again! Enjoying your videos from SA! Cheers!

What a blessing you shared your stater with friends that they can now give some back to you!! And then you can dehydrate that!!

Thank you! ❤😊 I love watching your videos. As a newly called Homemaker they’ve helped me tremendously as someone who didn’t have an example. I prayed for wisdom on how to run my home proficiently in a way that honors my family and then found your channel shortly after.

I've been making the laundry detergent you shared for a few months. I love it! I had tried making my own before with sad results. The real test that sold me was when I washed my husband's work clothes. Perfect! Thank you so much for sharing, Kelli!

This is just a book suggestion. I know you enjoy reading the classics and older books. I have recently started to reread “Uncle Tom’s Cabin.” I can’t put it down! Harriet Beecher Stowe was a Christian lady who so beautifully writes about the issues of slavery. She deals with all the nuanced way people either justified slavery or ignored it. I have been in tears so many times while reading this great book. Ms. Stowe reveals the human heart in its fullness when lead by God’s Word. She also deals with human frailty and failings so well. I highly recommend this book! You and your husband and friends will have such lively discussions about all the issues it deals with! Cheers! Love your content.

Funny story about security workers rummaging through checked luggage. One Christmas we were flying from the USA to the UK to visit our family. I brought homemade cranberry sauce (in glass jars) as a gift. Apparently 4 jars of cranberry sauce looks quite a bit like explosives. I opened my luggage to find that someone had opened the packaging I'd put to keep the jars from breaking but thankfully not the jars). My cranberry sauce is the bomb, but it's not A bomb lol

Question for yall, but I understand if you don't want to answer because it is personal, but what does Scott do for a living if he can leave for a month at a time? My husband's job is that he has limited vacation time. I'm assuming he's self-employed, but even that would be hard to leave for so long in some fields. Also, please know this comes from curiosity, not a mean place.

I’ve been wondering for awhile what you use in place Dr. Bronner’s
@homewithkelli Жыл бұрын
Yes, I linked Kaetlyn's shop in the description, and her soap bar works better than Dr Bronners did in my opinion!
@denisekeller249 Жыл бұрын
@@homewithkelli yes I saw the link and will be getting some. Do you have a replacement for Castille soap? I’ve just been getting into making my own products (shampoo, laundry, dishwashing, etc) and like you do not want to support companies whose values don’t align.

@@Familiengeburt Hi! It's more of where the company is now (I'm not sure about Dr Bronner himself) but as a company they promote sexual degeneracy on their social media. And their old bottles quoted Margaret Sanger on the labels.

"This is Africa", says Kelli & I am thinking, "This is central NY" as she is saying it. We live in a VERY windy region of NY & the power goes out frequently. We do the "power surge" LOL when it thunderstorms, ice storms, or is very windy. We get like one or 2 flickers of the lights & the kids & I go into high gear....we literally run around the house filling buckets, tea kettles, our Alexa pure, buckets in the tub to flush the toilet, buckets outside to water the animals. We literally RUN. Everyone takes a different faucet.... We look like crazy people. Then I start the propane oven (in the winter to heat the back of the house) and I gather all the kerosene lanterns. I text anyone I need to in the immediate (like, "Hey nephew, come down & get the generator started asap, I have eggs in the incubator LOL").
