Cut the carbs and sugar don't worry about calories. You're never going to win the battle with just exercise. 75/25 Diet/Exercise. Fix the diet and with the workout you're doing already you will drop those pounds fast!

I understand the sugar, but how do you just cut out a whole food group (you enjoy) from your diet forever? I hear this a lot and it doesn't stop sounding insane.
@kstanney92
@kstanney92 Жыл бұрын
@@antonioedwards1309 It's a fine line between health and pleasure, I love carbs too but I also recognize they can have a negative effect on the body. You don't cut carbs entirely and certainly not forever, extremely restrictive dieting is not sustainable. Personally I do keto diet and I have a cheat day once a week. Its not good for me physically but mentally a nice bowl of pasta, burger, or big sub sandwich just hits the spot. I could write an essay on this topic but if you're genuinely interested I suggest you watch/read stuff about the keto diet, low carb diet, and carb cycling. None of these diets remove carbs completely and permanently.

Pro tip: For washing sponges to last 50x longer, squeeze out all the liquid from the sponge after use. Then let dry on something that air can get to it all the way around. Like a rack or on the edges of a soap dish.

Tim, good luck on your journey of losing weight an improving your wellness. You can do it! Last September I weighed 220 lbs and I’m now at 178. I dropped the sugar, fried fast foods, processed meats and limit my bread. My goal is 1500-2000 max calories per day. I started working out at the gym last January. Again, good luck!

I had a mild heart attack and I have a Stent implantation please let the sugar and Carbs go away as much as possible and to know what to eat if the vegetables grow in the ground don't eat vegetables grow above the ground is what you need, don't mean you have to stop completely but moderation and I try to eat poultry and fish, seafood very, very, little pork and beef good luck everyone and God Bless you all.

Corn on the cob is the best and healthy. IMO, the best way to cook it... put enough water just to cover the cobs. then as soon as you see the 1st water boil turn off the heat and let it set for a few minutes then eat. Will be super good and eliminate over cooking which comes when continue to allow it to boil.

When you start working out the hardest thing is not giving into increased hunger. If you cut that down to 2000-2200 calories you'd be on your way. Also don't forget water retention. When you start drinking more water there is a period where your body will store it. That's exacerbated by muscles also storing water if you're lifting. So that ten pounds could be water weight. Even if you look and feel bloated like you're eating too much. Although a month is pushing it. Your body should reach a water equilibrium within a week or two. But don't stop drinking water. Drink a ton of it and expel that water weight.

Tim, everyone has some whacky diet fad they swear by and I am no exception. I was 6'2 and 258 pounds. No diets were working until I learned about intermitting fasting. I eat three meals in a 6 hour window and eat nothing else for the 18 hours (just drinking water) and the weight has DROPPED off me so quick. I am down to 201 and feel great. The three meals I eat in the hour hour window are anything I want and portion size is kept to resendable amount, no gorging or mindless eating. Anyway if you haven't tried it I would strongly suggest it.
@ndyajeff
@ndyajeff Жыл бұрын
I agree. I have been playing around with fasting very lackadaisically and losing a little weight without much effort for the last 6 months. Huberman Lab just did a video on this that is pretty on point and breaks it down into real useable metrics. Check out the video Dr. Satchin Panda: Intermittent Fasting to Improve Health... It is very focused on health and weight loss, not necessarily building muscle mass..

I just watched your 2 month old video that talks about you FINALLY getting in trt... CONGRATS BTW. after watching that video I'm not shocked at all about you gaining weight. The test combined with the newbie gains effect means you're gonna be putting on muscle weight faster or as fast as you drop fat weight. Ive been on trt for years and it was life changing mentally and physically. The more muscle you have the more fat you will shed in the long run (even while sleeping). no matter what make sure you are consuming 1.25 grams of protein per pound of the weight you want to do down to. While being on test your body will have increased protein synthesis capabilities but if you aren't consuming enough LEAN animal protein to support it you'll be wasting a very valuable part of the effects of the test.

Going off of the weight in the scale when you first start working out, eating healthy, etc will usually just end up being a confusing mess. Muscle weighs more than fat and diet changes can cause things like water retention. As long as you are doing a well rounded workout program and healthy diet what the scale says is not important. Imo it's a better idea to focus more on visually inspecting your body for Moroccans composition changes. If you want to measure anything i think it would be better to measure things like waist, chest, biceps circumference. Also in the long run its better to focus on a recomposition style program rather than a strictly weight lose program.
