I must say, those are very nice stands. I enjoyed hearing the logic behind the whole design. I didn’t even know about micro wobble and you gave me some great ideas.

If you want to use a masonry bit on any shinny surface just place a peice of masking tape over the spot your going to drill through, stops the drill bit from wondering around.

These look amazing. Brilliant way of using the wood to connect the tops/bottoms. Just need to figure out how to get my hands on a diamond tipped drill. Lol.

Great, thanks! I want to build some stands for my youngest daughter who is just getting her first system. You have some great ideas! I didn't know about Polipods - will have to look into them. All the best, Rob in Switzerland.

That's impressive. I like the use of reporpoused building supplies and kitchenware; and oak of course. I like using oak and parts of PE chopping boards when I'm replacing plastic components inside hifi units. Good insulators and easy to work with, although oaks wears your tools out. I'm looking for speaker stands but these are a bit out of my league as I only have light handtools.

Would love to know where you found Granite chopping boards for a tenner. Be a good worthwhile project if I can find them that cheap

In the United States, if you politely ask a granite countertop company for any trash blanks they have. They will let you get like 2 or 4 for a stand. DO NOT BE GREEDY. But yeah, save some cash

In the uk, they want £60.00 each, & the granite chopping board's are only £10.00 each, its a no brainer, thanks for commenting & watching👍
