It will be a lot of work but I also think that stripping that gorgeous door back to its wood finish and then just staining and varnishing it will give a lot of character. I used spar varnish on all the old doors and wood trim in my house and it's holding up well, even in the bathroom.

Honestly I love how dented and scratched the bathroom door is!!! I would paint that bit at the top because I think the original brown is too much but the rest of the door, the marks look perfect.

Is there a way to turn that little half wall on the end of the kitchen island into open shelving to showcase. nice serving pieces or for cook books? Love what you’ve done so far. The house will be wonderful. Your basement wet room bath could be a really good place for low light plants.

Definitely take the paint off the door, wood handles, and green tub. Keep the raccoon fur paint chip and frame it. 😊suggestions bc it’s your house not mine. Edit: Actually not the wood handles and instead black so the different wood tones don’t clash. 😊

I agree that the door being just wood would be cute, but I’m concerned about the different tones of wood. If the door and her vanity were a close match I’d say that’s fine, but if her stairs, her handles, her vanity and her door are all different colours of wood it might look a bit odd. Of course she could stain them al to match I guess

Love this series! I bought a midcentury duplex when I was single and finished the basement on the side I was living on. It took 2x the time & money from the original plan, but it was such a great process and I learned SO much. I hope to get another place someday to renovate- I love home projects!

I ALSO have apartment sized Samsung Washer n dryer...I love them! I have the same 1's. That way, when I buy my condo I can take them with me😁 I love this!!! Keep on going!!! My home in Florida is currently being worked on, as an income source, so watching gives me more ideas for that home.

The homes I have grown up in have had no labels or like ominous ones and there have always been like 8 that I was always told “don’t flick that one cause no idea what it does” hahaha

Love love everything about this reno. The green tub would be super cute but it’s definitely more of a current trend, I think the black is the safer route. Then you can add/change accent colors whenever you want!!

just an idea: you could always swap the washer and dryer so that the doors twing inwards and don’t damage the sliding doors. i imagine you wouldn’t have both door open at the same time so that could be a good option

It'd be nice to not have them hit the doors, but I have those same washers in a tight space and it's really nice to open both doors and just throw everything directly from the washer into the dryer and not navigate around the open doors :) Sounds silly but it makes it so much easier!

We have our washer and dryer in the kitchen (live in the Netherlands, and we have very little space, so this is the only option) but both are on opposite sides of the kitchen because we only have a water connection on that side, but they both open the wrong way which is so annoying. Lik both open towards the middle instead of the wall and we can't change it.
