I found the Theorie products at Marshall’s and TJ max today . I’m in Love my hair feels amazing , I am also Relaxed ! My hair is long and healthy I never had a problem growing my hair . I got my first relaxer when I was 22 years old .

Hey, Debra! So glad you were able to find Theorie and that it’s working for you! When I went looking a few wks ago at TJ’s, there was barely anything - only one bottle of Theorie conditioner. Yeah, I got relaxed in my late teens and haven’t looked back since. 💁🏾‍♀️

I pulled the plug and placed an order for my Theorie shampoo. I ordered the Green Tea and Amber Rose. The Green Tea is for damage hair and even though my hair is not damage it is relaxed so the healthier the better. I ordered the Amber Rose for the hydration and moisture, soft hair is the best. 400ml for $7.99 from Marshals. I can’t wait to receive and try it

I am natural but I think I’m going to try your routine for a while. I need simplicity because I’ve got a lot going on in my life (good stuff family and career wise ☺️)and I’m not afraid of heat. I do love my natural hair styles but you definitely get less consistent results and I don’t have time for that right now. Great video!

Do you put any moisturizer, oil, or serum on your hair through out the week to keep it moisturized?

Hey! No, I don’t put anything extra on my hair after my initial wash and styling. I really believe that with the right products and care (e.g. wearing a silk scarf/bonnet at night, keeping ends trimmed, no harsh styling, etc.), you really shouldn’t need to constantly oil/moisturize your hair during the week. When you go to a salon, typically you don’t need to do it. So should it be when you do it yourself.

Yes Look fantastic is a stockists so I’ll take a look. The Theorie products I also had to purchase from the US store. Expensive with the shipping cost, but I haven’t been to the salon for months so in my head that balances out. Dawn, I decided to try your regimen..hold on to your wrap n tap....there is No more wrap n tap! I could not believe it. I ended up getting proclaim liquid setting lotion....went to Marshall's and got the Theorie (Amber Rose poo/conditioner) ..I also got the skinny serum from Sally's. Now Lottabody (the makers of WnT) does have a concentrated wrap lotion that you have to mix with water that they sell at Sally’s, but... I WANT MY ALREADY MIXED WRAP N TAP! 😑 Ugh... Hey! I believe they sell the professional Lottabody Setting Lotion at Sally’s Beauty, if you have one near you. This one you have to dilute with water per use. I‘ve never used Nairobi, but if you can’t get your hands on LB, Keracare’s setting lotion is pretty good.

I usually use Affirm Fiberguard but it's no longer sold at my city Beauty Supply store or in all of Canada so either I buy it online or I switch to another relaxer? Hey, sharon! Since Infusium23 is not a protein driven leave-in (i.e., not a protein treatment) and relies on goodies like panthenol (which improves hair’s elasticity as well as its ability to maintain moisture, and adds shine) to enrich hair, it should be safe to use by all hair types.

That Theorie shampoo and conditioner has been discontinued. I've been looking for it, and I have not been able to find it at Marshalls or TJ Maxx. It's not even on the Theorie website. Have you used Olaplex? If so, how do you like it?

Hey, gemruby41! Ironic, isn’t it, how I talk about companies discontinuing things we love only to find out AFTER I recorded and posted this that Theorie did the same exact thing! Sorry about that. On the other hand, I guess I’ll be trying some of their other stuff since the brand overall is consistently good. Yes, I’ve tried Olaplex! I like it a lot. Wrote about it on my blog and was going to include it in a relaxer hair care regimen post. Have you tried it?

Hmm... I haven’t used a protein treatment on my hair for years now. When I did, I used Aubrey’s GPB ( wonder if they still make that!). I loved it; made my hair soft and not hard. I’m wary of traditional protein treatments that harden your hair like cardboard. Olaplex doesn’t feel like that on my hair. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t use it.

Dolce Dawn I think they discontinued or changed the formula of GPB, and it’s hard to find it. I was using the Olapkex weekly, so that could have been why my hair felt dry like too much protein.

You’re right - they DID change the GPB formula. Looks like they added a vanilla scent (just checked their site). I was using Olaplex once a week, too, but it didn’t make my hair dry. My hair felt pretty normal afterwards. Now I use it now and again a week after relaxing.

Hmm... depends on what you’re looking for. I like products that are “nourishing” or “moisturizing”. With that being said, I used to use KeraCare Detangling poo on my regular wash day (along with my Garnier) before finding Theorie. Now I just use it on relaxer day. Very moisturizing. Before that, Aveda Sap Moss poo...
